And I'm wondering...Is there anything all that great about those new Elexa condoms? I noted that they're marketed towards women and all that, but what's so special and different about them? Also what exactly does it mean when a condom is "ribbed?" Is that like with those little waves through out it? And has anyone had positive/negative experiences with that? I tried studded condoms once and absolutely haaaated it, so I'm just wondering how ribbed ones are for people.

Hey there, I can't really find anything that is going to make ME feel any better.

I'm sexually active, on the patch, and use condoms every. single. time. I just had my period two weeks ago (this sunday is a new patch day, third week). Lately though, I've been having serious stomach ailments. Even though there is a stomach virus floating around, I'm still concerned.

Because everytime you mention "nausea, stomach ache" whatever, people automatically assume you're pregnant.
I realize the chances are super slim, but still... a girl freaks. So honestly, do I really have any need to worry?

yet another pill + antibiotics question

Hi VPers! I will be prescribed antibiotics today (Friday, day 6 of my pill pack) to ward off infection after getting my wisdom teeth extracted. I last had sex on Wednesday. Since conception can occur up to 5 days after sex, should I wait 5 days from Wednesday to start my antibiotics? Or is it safe to start right away? I'll ask my oral surgeon too. Thanks!

2nd Time and I Think I Finally Broke

The first time I had sex with my guy I thought he had de-flowered me, but my guessing was wrong because last night we had sex for the second time and I bled like no other! It hurt too, and he was telling me it's going to hurt no matter what...I kind of wish I had some lube on hand. I'm still spotting (wearing a pad) and when I wipe there's blood. He was so scared and concerned because of the blood.

So how long am I going to keep on spotting and when is the soreness going to end? Like when I sit down, it hurts also I have some mild cramping, is that normal? Oh yeah, why do I feel like bursting into tears?

feet swelling and periods

hi!  i was wondering if anyone experiences swolen feet during their period.  i just got my period yesterday, and when i went to put on my shoes that fit just fine the day before, they didn't fit at all and i had to squeeze my foot into them.

this is the first time i'm experiencing this, so i was just wondering if it's normal.

Before you all say UTI or YI, I have had thores before and this is different, and it hurts. I am seeing my doc later so I can get this looked at (eeew) but I'd like to see if anyone had any tips

22, on the pill (diane, for a year with no issues). Have just started sleeping with someone which made it worse but it was happening before.

I have
Burning and itchyness around my inner labia. Mabey a little redder than usual. Not bumpy, no wierd discharge, no strange smell. I just feel dry, like someone switched my t.p to sand paper. It doesn't hurt to pee but it hurts to wipe.

Also I often react to sanitary products co I use a cup. I don't think tis is an allrgy because I get a big bumpy peely rash.

I have my new Nuvaring in since yesterday and after sex today I asked my guy if he noticed. He said he felt it with his finger and I almost replied "Really? Because I didn't feel your finger!" I was surprised, becaused I couldn't tell if he actually enters me with one finger. When he's licking and also has his fingers down there I often wonder what exactly he's doing with them, because I can't really feel anything past my vaginal opening, I never know if his finger is inside or just playing around the opening. I do notice if he uses more than one fingers (umm, I think). I guess it's because the clitoral stimulation is so distracting? Does this happen to any of you ladies?
Also, I don't know if the Nuvaring is sitting correctly. I can feel it about 1 1/2 inches inside my vagina. I don't notice it and it's not falling out or anything, so probably that's ok. It's just that I expected it to be smaller, lol.

Delaying period?

Scheduling problems are likely to arise!

I have tickets booked to see mah boy for 15th of july, which is a good date because I finish (or SHOULD finish) my period 2 days before then, but 2 days before I'm due to leave, I (should) get my period again.
This would suck MAJORLY, as I'm super heavy my first two days and would prefer not to deal with it while i'm there.

Are there any ways that I can delay my period a day or two?
I was thinking about a mooncup or a similar contraption, I was going to look into them if this wasn't possible (and because they just seem like a really cool idea) but I'd still prefer not to be crampy and hormonal while I'm there. This would make me likely to cry way more than I usually would when I left, which wouldn't be very fun for anybody.

Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

Hi, guys -- I have two quick questions.

1. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO EXPERIENCED BREAST GROWTH AFTER BEGINNING HORMONAL BIRTH CONTROL
How long after beginning HBC did you first notice increased breast size? Which type of HBC were you on? How many sizes did you increase?

2. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT CONDOMS
Today, my high school health teacher advised against 'novelty commons' [those to which she specifically alluded were Santa Claus-printed (I didn't even know they existed), glow-in-the-dark, and flavored.] She said not to use these during PIV sex. Why is this? Are they less reliable than name-brand, solely-lubricated condoms?
