So I can't speak for the rest of you ladies that have used them, but from my experience today..Trojan's Ultra Ribbed Condoms are the devil. Approximately two seconds after my boyfriend entered me with that son-of-a-bitch condom on, I was screaming in pain..and he had a panic attack. Obviously, nothing good can result from those things. So yeah..ultra ribbed condoms hurt like a bitch.

On a new note, I have a small question. I have my very first gyno visit coming up, and I want to be completely honest with my doctor that way everything can go smoothly and all questions can be answered honestly. I want to tell them that I've had sex..but I don't want them to tell my mom. If I ask them to keep it confidental, will they do that? Is there some kind of gyno-secret oathe that they take? Sort of like the way a psychotherapist or something has to keep your conversations confidental..do gynos have to do that too (if requested, at least) ?

Thanks very very much for your help everyone!

I just recently had a stroke, and a blood clot. Both were in smaller vessels but nonetheless I did still suffer from them. I had been on the patch for about two years, but for precaution I was asked to go off it, and I did. Now my questions to you ladies is have any of you suffered from either of these conditions and have gone on other types of birthcontrol that contained less estrogen. I have an appt. with the gynocologist next week, but I wanted to maybe get some feedback.

So, I'll thank you in advance for your feedback! ^_^

Edit: Here's another question I forgot to ask, since I've gone off the patch, and if I do start on another HBC do I need to wait until I get my next period before going on it?

vulval sore

Im currently being treated for a thrush infection and the problem seems to have pretty much cleared up. However I had sex last night (no pain yay) and today theres like a small sore next to my clit..its not painful at all really but it is slightly open and wet.

I will be going back to the doctors soon anyway and will check it with her but obviously im a bit concerned. Was thinking this was quite possibly due to a long nail or just over vigorous clitoral stimulation. Ive had a similar thing before, tinier, that i noticed one night but by the next day it was prety much gone.

Any advice or reassurance is appreciated, like i say i will be mentioning it to the doctor and asking to be checked for herpes just incase.

thanks in advance

This is part searching for answers, searching for opinions and searching for assurances, like so many of the posts in this community. I posted last week about abnormally heavy discharge during my 2-periods-a-month on bc, and how my doctor doesn't believe me about it. When I was in her office last week for various illness (two infections, woo) she told me I was presenting bacterial kidney infection symptoms and gave me an antibiotics shot to help combat it, but nothing else. I also had a virile infection. Well the virile infection got better and the bacterial infection seems to be worse, and following my doctor's orders, I called back in to get another appointment for this week with my new and worse symptoms. I can't get in to see her until late Friday. I have an off-and-on fever, and I am a mass of pain from the neck down! My kidneys hurt (I've had baaaadddd infections before and know the feeling), my back hurts, all my major joints hurt more or less, standing is so painful I can hardly do it by sitting and laying down hurt as well, and my lower regions are in some serious ouch, including torrential bloody discharge like nothing I've seen before (and if it's a period, it's three weeks early for a normal monthly period, or three months early if you're me and only have four a year). I want to hit the ER but I aleady have this doctor appointment. Would you wait? Is it right to burden ER staff with something I could *probably* wait two more painful days to have addressed by a physician? I've always thought of ERs as strictly last-resort options. Thoughts?

I took ECP (the morning after pill) a couple months ago.. and my body's been messed up since. Last time I took ECP, it made my first period early, then the next couple late. Like 4-5 days late.

I had my last period about 6 weeks ago (first one after ECP, very light).. Then about a week and a bit ago I started what I thought was my period (already late).. But basically there was enough to half-soak a regular sized tampon. That was that. Kinda little compared to my normal 3-4 day super-absorbency routine.

Was that it? (and i wouldn't be complaining if all my periods went like this from now on.. by all means, please) I do get spotting during ovulation now and then, but that seemed a bit much.. Plus I distinctly felt when I ovulated close to 2 weeks prior to that.. And I have never had implantation bleeding yet, so I dont know if it'd be like this. I got all other PMS symptoms (cramps, wanting to bite everyone's head off, bottomless pit in my stomach) around the same time. And I haven't.. uh.. really had sex without a condom. Well.. kinda.. This is what happens when you sleep naked! BUT we woke up before the end. lol *goes to buy steel PJ-bottoms* So the likeliness of sperm in me was very very low.

A home pregnancy test showed negative on the baby virus.. and I have been kinda stressed lately with not keeping up with school and quitting my job and moving.

Should I still go and get a blood test this month (because even though I'm sure this is just my body being fucked up, home tests aren't that accurate), or should I wait for my next scheduled period to show up? One the one hand, I guess it'd be easier to just test and not worry about it but on the other hand.. needles.. o_0

Basically what I'm asking is.. I know ECP can make periods lighter, but how about basically non-existant? or should I be looking at other factors?

For background info: I'm 22, 5'8, 170ish lbs (gained about 5 pounds in the past 2 months.. no lifestyle changes aside from the ECP, so I blame that), have had regular periods since 14, use condoms and FAM (aside from this month, used condoms throughout just in case, aside from mentioned incident), on thyroid meds for hypothyroidism (=reduced function), not allowed on regular hormonal BCP due to history of high blood pressure in family, and history of depression.

Thanks :P

Hi kids (lol I'm 18). I was just wondering if any of you become extra sensitive to smells during your period? I just noticed today while I was chopping some fresh cilantro that it was making me nauseous. Ick! Also, I sliced up some fresh mushrooms and looking at the gills under the caps made me queesy. Does this happen to anyone else?

first some background- I have a very sensitive cervix, I bleed for up to two weeks after a pap smear, happens everytime and I have been tested for everything under the sun for a blood related disease. its completely normal for me. i usually warn doctors ahead of time, well this time I forgot.

I had my colposcopy yesterday, it was fine, not really painful. however I guess my cervix began bleeding REALLY badly after the doctor took the biopsies. I think I scared him, he used the whole jar of that mustardy anti-bleeding stuff and then had his nurse go get another jar of it, he spent a good 8 or 9 minutes coating my cervix with the stuff, then afterwards assisted me in sitting up in case I felt dizzy. (must have been alot of blood to freak out a gyno!!)

anyways heres my dilema now, all day yesterday after the procedure, and still now I have had EXTREME vaginal dyness, no bleeding, no discharge, nothing. its getting to the point of it being uncomfortable. Im thinking it had something to do with him using so much of that stuff. also my period is supposed to start today. (its like clockwork, starts every wedensday after the sunday i remove my nuvaring) and I am still very, very dry. I was contemplating if maybe douching (just this once!) or taking a turkey baster full of warm sterile water and trying to wash some of the stuff out of my vagina so my period can start or so I can atleast can some moisture back in my cunt. or should I just leave it alone and let it come out on its own Its been almost 24 hours now since my procedure, and there has been NO wetness whatsoever. how long does it take for this stuff to wear off?

any help at all, suggestions on what to do would be extremely appreciated.

*edit*- i was also thinking about trying to induce my period with some methods that are mentioned here. to see if I can get the stuff washed out naturally- do you think this will work?*

Hello!

I hope this isn't a dumb question that everyone is aware of but me..but here it goes..

If I got my period today (november 7), does that mean that I'm not at risk for getting pregnant, if I had sex (no protection, but he didn't cum in me) with my guy last friday (november 3)??

Any answers would help!
[identity profile] robots-love-me.livejournal.com
If my partner and I are having sex without a condom, can pre-cum cause pregnancy? How far back should we pull out before he actually ejaculates or does it not matter just as long as we bring it out soon enough before? I don't really want to take birth control right now for certain reasons, but I do want him to experience my vagina without a condom. I just want to do it the "safest" way possible without getting pregnant. Silly, I know. Any answers would be helpful, thanks and have a good day.

Hello all, I'm new here, first time posting. I was curious about two things, one more serious than the other. First off, I realized recently (as in during the past hour or so) that I really bond with myself during my period. I feel like it's my time to let my body rest as much as it can, and just listen to it and do what it wants me to do for a few days. In fact, it probably helps that my bf pampers me as well, letting me sleep in, being all sweet and lovey! I can't say I enjoy it, given the massive cramping that accompanies the first day and the general feeling of lethargy that I get, but I appreciate the me-time, and like to let strenuous activities pass me by when my body is so strained (including sex, though definately not cuddling). I don't know, I guess I was just wondering if anyone else feels a deep connection with their body during their period, or if I'm just being weird?

Big question: Is there any evidence supporting or denying that endo and cysts (ovarian and uterine) are not related? Hereditary? Nearly all the women on my mom's side of the family have had cysts (both cancerous and benign) and endo. My mom is getting a hysterectomy this summer, as her cysts are so large and numerous that she and her doctor think it's the best course of action, and are hoping to also relieve her endo. She's now worried about my sister and me possibly getting endo and/or cysts (and to be honest, so am I). I was hoping that someone has been luckier than I in finding stats or studies about this?

Thanks!
