Pregnant?

My period is exactly every 28 days and normally lasts 4-5 days. My last period started exactly on time on 28th of July and only lasted 2 days. I have not been on birth control pill since march and it has normal until now.
My period is not due until the 25th but I am having symptoms weight gain, cravings and my stomach has been hurting, and my hormones have been kind of crazy.
Could I have possibly been pregnant and had my period last month? Maybe I got pregnant after my period? I want to go get a blood test done should I wait until after the 25th or is it safe to do it now? I don't think it is from being off the pill since I stopped in march and these symptoms all started this month.

Any input?

Hey everyone,

I got all four of my wisdom teeth removed last Wednesday, the 9th of August. The extraction went fine, I was in hella lot of pain onces the anesthesia wore off that afternoon. Yesterday and today (Monday and Tuesday) I noticed that the left side of my mouth was hurting a great deal more than my right. And tonight at work, I was in such excruciating pain that I had to leave early, run home, and take a Vicodin that my oral surgeon had prescribed. After talking it over with my mother, I think I have dry socket. And I only have three more Vicodin pills left. I am going to call my oral surgeon as soon as they open in the morning.

What does dry socket have to do with vaginas? Well, I googled dry socket and found this website. According to them, oral contraceptives increase the risk of dry socket and excessive pain. However, I am not on oral birth control. I'm on the NuvaRing.

Could it be the birth control hormones in general increase the risk of dry socket?

I feel like my oral surgeon should I have said something about this. I mean, if I'd known that being on birth control could have caused me unnecessary pain when having my wisdom teeth removed, I probably would have gone off of it for a month or so (since I don't use it for contraceptive purposes right now).

Also, has anyone in the community had experience with dry socket? Do they prescribe an antibiotic to help deal with it? If so, I will get a yeast infection. And that will just make everything ten times worse.

Any suggestions to help with the pain, insight into the BC and dry socket mystery, or general words of whatever are welcome.

Thank you.

I'm posting this for my best friend cause well, yeah :]

She has two white bumps on her nipple. Not the areola part since people are sometimes confused, on the actual nipple.

Today she had me look at them to see if I knew what they were, and I had no idea. They look almost like pimples, but they're white and semi hard, and they become hard when her nipples become erect. She has one on the top and one on the bottom.

She said that over the past few months they've gotten bigger. Her girlfriend said she noticed a change in size as well.

They've been there for about 4 years, they don't hurt, and there's no type of discharge from them or her actual nipple.

She had a baby about 2 years ago and did not breast feed, so I don't know if that could be a factor in any of this.

Any idea what could be going on?

Im just looking for some opinions. If the uterus only excretes about 1/3 of a cup of fluid during a cycle then why does it sometimes take 4 days?

Sometimes my libido gets very high so I help myself to some personal time. However, on some occasions, I don't have the time to "take care of business" so i find my nether regions sore by the end of the day, to the point where I can't sit and have to walk around. This would usually occur on the third day from an absense of experiencing a climax.

I, for lack of a better term, orgasm on a regular basis like everyday or every other day. My question is, has my body gotten use to having the enorphine high that it's practically "addicted"? Or, is it just a coming of age? I'm 20 years old.

Checked the archive, didn't find anything.

The fold between my outter labia and my thigh is doing funny things, particullarly, being dandrifty. It runs the length of the break between labia, and is about an inch wide on each side. It will dry out and get all flakey, and scratch off just like dandriff. I've put lotion on it a few times (just put neosporn, which has helped me with raw skin before so I'm trying it) and the lotion has helped, but it comes back and is obnoxious.

I recently had a pair of undies rub me raw in that spot, so it could be that but.. I don't know.  It has been particularly warm lately. Shaving doesn't seem to make it flare up. Just random.

It's been going on for at least a week.  Yesh.

It doesn't itch, burn, or anything like that, it's just annoying!

What is it? What can I do to make it go away for good?

Thanks!

I guess this explains why I was having abdominal cramps, discharge and feeling wet all the time:

I have an infection.
What infection? I have to wait until my pap smear results.

Am I right, ladies?

Now I feel terrible. I had tonsilitis, now having colds, and infected down there!

1. I'm a motley mix of drugs, so can anyone tell me if my meds are affecting my birth control? 'Cause I can't find these drugs in the drug checker or in the inserts or in Google: cefalexin, paracetamol, and vaginal suppositories (boric acid? policresulen).

2. I'm also curious: you have to wait for 7 days to be protected after taking the drugs, right? What if, for example, you're on the pill and you had sex on a Saturday, then you got sick on a Sunday and started taking meds? Would you still be protected?

3. So I have an infection. It was a minor complaint at first, I didn't have any extreme symptoms - I went to the ob gyn because of my nausea and depression, but I was surprised (and shocked!) when she told me she needs to administrate a pap smear at that instant. No results yet, but it turned out that a) my discharge stinks, b) I was having an inflammed and eroding cervix. The gyn didn't explain anything to me, and didn't say if it would affect pill effectivity (heck, sex is the last thing on my mind with these cramps and discharge, but how about the former encounters?). Well, would it?

4. I was diagnosed a week after the discharge started. Would that indicate anything about my pill working?

Thanks for the help!

Okay. I'm a virgin. Totally, never had ANY kind of sexual contact, but for around a year now my vagina has been itchy. I've also noticed bumps all over my vulva and vaginal lips. They're flesh coloured, raised bumps, and there's nothing in them (i.e. you can't pop them). They haven't changed or formed clumps or anything over time. Now, being that I'm a virgin, I don't see how these can possibly be genital warts or anything, but the thought still frightens me. I've also noticed a sort of yeasty smell and some white substance (like the cottage cheese description) on the vulva. This, combined with the itching, makes me think it's a yeast infection. However, could these bumps possibly be a symptom of the yeast infection? I've searched Google many times, but there's never any reference to bumps as a symptom of yeast infections. Is it also possible that the bumps are a normal part of my vulva, but just appear more prominent because of irritation/inflammation due to a yeast infection? I know I really should go to the doctor, but I don't like my GP and I don't have a gyno. I'm too embarassed to tell my mother, and I don't want her to think that I'm sexually active when I really, truly am not. Please offer any advice. Thanks :)

I lost my virginity on August 13th (really early in the morning.. starting around midnight-ish), and I was completely fine. We had sex three times. Minimal pain, minimal bleeding. For the following two days, I was a bit sore, but it was nothing that I wasn't expecting and it certainly wasn't excruciating. Then, for some bizarre reason, I bled all day yesterday, and it felt/looked exactly like I had my period. This made me nervous, because my period, although relatively irregular, isn't due for quite a while (around the 25th or so). I went to planned parenthood and told them what I was experiencing and they had me schedule an appointment for tomorrow and advised me to take the morning after pill. I took the pills as I was told, scheduled a check-up, and tried to stop worrying about it. When I woke up this morning, the bleeding had stopped almost entirely.. and now I'm pretty sure it's done for good.

Has anyone ever heard of this before? I know it's not abnormal to bleed after the first time, but I'm pretty sure it's abnormal to bleed two days later. Yesterday, I was all worried that it was implantation bleeding, but the people at PP told me it was too early to tell. I'm completely baffled.

(Some extra info: I'm not on birth control, but I was for a little while around the end of June. I have a blood clotting disorder, but it's pretty well under control. I also have no sores/itching/weird discharge; everything feels completely normal.)

Thanks in advance.

Bloating?

Hi. I'm on my 2nd week of my 2nd month of birth control pills (cocs). I also have what I suspect a yeast infection (discharge smells moldy), but my results aren't due until next week.

I freaked out last night because I was (and still am) bloated. I felt like (and still feel like) I was about to burst, and I kinda freaked my mom out when I told her that, so I'm freaked out too.

It might have been from the yeast infection (I googled it, but some are gastrointestinally-related), and it might have been a side effect from the pill. After all, it's my 2nd month.

But I didn't have this on my 1st month. And I usually feel this bloated when my period's due, which is way too soon, it's my 12th pill! And for the past few weeks I've been feeling PMS/ovulation symptoms, so I'm really freaked out.

Well, pill, or yeast infection? Did I ovulate?

Help!

I wnt to the gynocologist for an annual exam on Monday and they did the clinic's standard pap smear and test for gohnorrea/chlamydia. The doctor felt everything and told me that I was all okay and normal, whatever.

For some reason, the test hurt more than any previous ones I'd had. Since Monday I've been spotting slightly and then, today, the bleeding became a bit heavier.

Is this normal? Will it stop soon? I would go see the doctor again but I am at work and in class all the time and would rather not if it is not necessary.

So I should be on my period this week and I am, but it's very different from how it usually is. I normally have heavier periods, this one is very light, to the point that I can go without wearing a pad and there won't be any blood on my underwear. When I wipe after going to the bathroom, there's some brown stuff and one or two clots that are very dark red, or even black. Today I put in a tampon because I was going shopping and when I took it out 2-3 hours later, it was streaked with black-no red or even brown, just black. This has been going on for a week, normally my periods are 5 days at most. I've also had a constant headache since it began and some nausea. There's no chance of pregnancy. I just can't figure out what it could be. Help? =/

hi all :)
didnt see this in the archives so just asking a quick question.
basically, when i orgasmed my vagina seemed to contract or something at least 10-20 times during/after an orgasm.
past few days its just stopped out of the blue.
ive been doing the squeezing excercises( kegals?) for a while but dont know if this could be because of that.
anyone any ideas?
thanks in advance x

*edit* i still get the orgasm but no contractions, just a dull ache which is sometimes uncomfortable but not that sore.
