 Hello, everyone.

My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex last Monday. Immediately after the deed, we both noticed blood stains on the sheets. Five days prior to that, my period started. Since my period usually lasted for 3 to 5 days only, I assumed it already stopped so my boyfriend and I went ahead with it. What seems to be the cause of bleeding? I stumbled on a couple of forums, most, if not all, gave the following answers: (1) cervical bleeding, (2) torn hymen, (3) rough sex [lack of lubrication, i assume]. I also had a brown discharge the day after (Tuesday), and still continues now (but not as much). Also, what are the chances that I may be pregnant? My boyfriend pulled out before ejaculating but I'm still a bit nervous. I took Nordette as ECP 13 hours after sex and missed out on the first dosage (took two instead of four as stated here: http://www.fwhc.org/birth-control/ecinfo.htm) so I really don't know what to expect. I happen to take the second dosage 12 hours after, though.

I hope someone could help shed light on the matter.

P.S: This is my first time having sex.

Question for the sister of a friend.

Would a doctor ever presribe both the pill AND the vaginal ring? If she did, does anyone know what problems that could cause? Could one decrease the effiacy of the other?

RepHresh has been mentioned in here before, I'm sure.

But you know what I don't get...

Using RepHresh after douching. Bwahaha. That just doesn't make sense..

I can understand using RepHresh alone (maybe catch BV or a YI before they flare up), obviously not everday..but you shouldn't be douching in the first place! Some mircale product like RepHresh isn't going to repair your vagina to its "good condition" if you've already cleared out the good bacteria and lubricant. If RepHresh is SUPPOSED to stop that god awful FEMINIE ordor and itch before it even starts, you wouldn't even "need" to douche, now would you?

Does this make sense to anyone else?

Hello ladies! First off I'd like to say that I feel like I've been posting a lot lately, but I think that has to do with the reception I've been getting. I've been a member for a while (probably at least a year if not closer to two) but when I've made earlier posts, I felt my questions were dismissed even though other people with similar situations were getting advice and support. However I definitely feel like part of the group, even if it is 10,000+! So I'd just like to offer up a thank you to all for listening and helping me.

Now on to the shaving! I'm no stranger to it, have been doing it for years and have gone both hairless and not for intermittant periods of time. Right now it's mostly shaved with about a 2in x 2in patch in the front. Well seeing as V-Day is coming up and it will be mine and my bf's fourth, I'd like to do something a little different. Because I think it would be amusing/cute and I know he would too, I'd like to shave it in the shape of a heart! I don't have an electric shaver, and I don't think I'm talented enough to do it freehand, do you think I should make some sort of template? I guess I'm just thinking about how it would work with the whole getting wet thing. So if anyone has and ideas send them my way! Happy Vaginas to all!

Anyone have any tips of how to become more lubricated-- NATURALLY?

I don't like fussing with lube, and think that I could become a bit more wet myself.

Are there any herbal supliments or any foods that might make this possible?

Thanks in advance :]

I've searched and searched for information about ortho-micronor, also known as a mini-pill, but all I find are the sites that explain what it is and how it's different from combo birth controls. I was wondering if anyone has used it and how it's side effects are different. I've been switched to it from ortho-tricyclene lo because I have migraines. Because each pill contains the exact same amount of hormones, I was wondering how it changes your period. Any info ladies?

So, never thought I'd be asking this question... meh.

I'm 4 days late for my period. This is pretty unusual; my period is somewhat irregular at times but usually it comes early, not late ("normal" is just under 28 day cycle, sometimes it comes at day 25 or 26).

A lot has happened in the past month. I traveled to Brazil for a January-term class (lots of flying), came back on the 24-25th of January (right around the time I should have been ovulating). I met my long-distance boyfriend at the airport, and we had a week of fun. We didn't have PIV sex, precisely because of pregnancy concerns. We did have anal, though, which was my first time for that, and one of the times we did the condom pulled off him as he was pulling out... dumped all down my ass (on the hip side - ugh, that's an awful feeling). The chances of him getting any semen anywhere it mattered are very, very small. Since then, he's gone home, classes have started - tough semester, lots of work, changed sleep patterns, etc.

So, all that said, there are lots and lots of reasons there I could be late - travel, diet changes, crazy hormones from having him around, and stress. And it's very very unlikely that it's even possible for me to be pregnant. So my question is not so much "am I pregnant?" but rather, at what point do I start really worrying? 5 days? 2 weeks? If I miss my next period too? What sort of time frame am I looking at?
Thanks so much!

Is the pill just as effective in week one of a new pack if I skipped the previous pack's sugar pills (and my period) in order to have sex? I'm not making a habit of skipping the sugar pills but I haven't seen my boyfriend in two months and well, you know.

Thanks in advance, ladies.

I got my biopsy reults back Friday, and they came pack positive for pre-cancerous cells (high dysplasia) and I'm going in Thursday for a LEEP and some other procedure I forgot the name for..

The biopsy wasn't that painful, and I had some cramping afterwards whilst cuddled up with my boyfriend and a heating pad. Now, for any of you ladies who have had a LEEP done, tell me.. how painful is it really? I was told I'd have to clear my schedule for the day of the procedure, not drive myself there or back, and be in bed afterwards and that the following day to only be active if absolutly necessary. Any advice or stories or support would be greatly appreciated!

Why do girls use lube? This may sound like a stupid question but I don't understand.

I looked through the memories, and couldn't find anything solid. Some were saying yes...some no.
I've heard from so many people that drinking/taking Cranberry pills helps prevent UTI's...but there are still the few (even Drs) that say it does nothing.
It irritates the bladder etc. when you do have one though right?
So I shouldn't be taking Cranberry if I hve a UTI?
I've been drinking it and water all day, because my Mom told me it would help until I can get to the Doc.
I'm going to the doc here in a bit to find out if I do indeed have one (which I'm pretty sure I do-but who knows-I've never had one before. At 21 I'm counting myself lucky! Haha).
Thank you!

alright, so i'm so excited about this, i know it's quite pointless to update and this is totally delete-able material, but i bought one...finally...all because of you lovely ladies, i would never have known about it otherwise...my period is coming along sometime in the next few days and i don't think i've been this excited to have a period...ever...so i'm totally stoked. i tried putting it in today, although i'm not sure how much of a good idea that is, and it was SO easy! i couldn't believe it! the only thing was when i was taking it out i had to kind of squeeze it awkwardly so i'm not sure how that's gonna work when there's actual contents. and there was a bit of like, pressure cuz i guess i should have pushed in the sides more while taking it out. anyways. i didn't have anywhere else to spread my excitement. :)

Lately I've been experiencing a problem, where I will get really upset with my boyfriend over very little things. They get blown out of proportion in my head, and I end up over-reacting a lot. Just last night, I wanted to have sex, he said he was too tired, and I ended up rolling away from him (stealing all the covers at the same time), and then eventually just throwing all the covers at him when he managed to start getting some of them back. I don't see why I couldn't have just let it be, he's tired, we'll have sex later.. but for some reason I couldn't do that. Something like this has been happening on almost a weekly basis, something small will happen that I don't like, and I will get really upset about it. Usually after the fact I realize how small it was and that I completely over-reacted, but at the time I'm reacting, it seems perfectly reasonable to me. I'm just wondering if this is in any way related to my bcp (I'm on Ortho TriCyclen) which I've been on for around 2 years (I can't quite remember if I was like this before bcp or not). Is it possible that bcp can cause me to over-react a lot? Or would it be more due to stress from school (I just finished a super-stressful week, but not every week is stressful, and this happens almost weekly, so I'm not sure if that's part of the cause)? I really want to figure this out (I'm considering going to counselling at school), as it's seriously starting to hurt my relationship with my boyfriend (and I really do like him a lot, even though I keep getting mad or frustrated with him). Any input about this would be completely awesome.

Now, I know this isn't completely vagina related, so please feel free to delete it it's too off-base.

Thank you!

Woah. Okay.

Earlier today when I was masturbating, I looked down and saw blood everywhere. I figured, heyyy that's cool, I got my period while masturbating! So blahablh whatever. I took a shower when I was done, and when I got out I realized that I wasn't bleeding at all. Yet there's blood up my vagina. I didn't bother wearing a pad or anything.

A good four hours later, there's still blood in my vagina. But it's not just blood. It's like the brown stuff that you get at the end of your period.. mixed with blood. So basically I just got the end of my period.. uhwtf? I just stuck a tampon in and pulled it out figuring that it would clean it or whatever.

Is this normal? I mean, I definitely don't have my period.. 'cause no blood is coming out. It's like it's freaking stuck in my vagina.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I wrote this a while ago and posted it to [livejournal.com profile] too_much_info. After reading my responses, I figured I was spotting for the first time. But now I got a towel and pushed it up my vagina a little and now there's bright red blood up there.. still.

I'm a little worried because I don't know if I'm like really internally bleeding in my vagina and I'm gonna freaking die or something.. hah, I don't know. I'm clueless, and like I said in TMI-- I'm a really paranoid/dramatic person.

Hello everyone. Long time reader, first time poster :)

So here's the issue: I haven't had my period since September. For the first two months after my last menstration, I knew it was a change in my exercise cycle, for my schedule went from tennis every day to nothing for a month, and then started running. I was under a LOT of stress (I wasn't doing well in my chem class, blah blah--but that stress ended late December-early January.) Pregnancy is not an option, unless it was immaculate conception. I usually get my period around the end of the month (starting around the 20th). For the first two months of the missing period, I still experienced moodiness, but it would be gone a few days later, I guess around the time I'd start bleeding. This last time around on the periodmobile, I had all the symptoms I'd usually get (cramps, stomach ache, sleep deprivation, moodiness, period pimples, etc), and started to believe I was actually going to get it. Didn't come. I have had times where I have skipped my period a couple times, but it was only for two months. And it's not like I just started menstration--it's been seven years since I first started. No big changes in diet--I did cut out fast food, but I still eat pretty bad.

Is it possible that I actually am getting my period, but I'm not bleeding? And if that's not the case... then what the hell is wrong with me, and what should/can I do about this?

Thanks in advance.

Okay, sort of embarassing question, but here goes:

My girlfriend and I had strap-on sex for the first time today. We originally started out without any lube/condom, then put some on when things started to get dry. We tried lots of angles - some which were painful and we didn't do again, and some which worked and we had fun with. Most of it was pretty rough, but nothing really hurt, and if it did, I told her so. After two hours, we stopped, and I looked down to check if everything was "okay". I freaked, and so did my girlfriend. The very bottom of my vaginal opening was swollen and protruding and hurt to the touch - I have no idea what's down there, if anything ... was my hymen broken, was I bruised, or was I just really turned on [so much that it hurt]? It's been a little over 6 hours since then, and I still can't sit properly because of the pain. It's not very intense, just an annoying sharp pain. I'm worred. Any help appreciated. :)

Ok, this is driving me INSANE! I know for a fact I saw an entry earlier this week or maybe last week about this same thing, but I can't find it anywhere! I even did an LJ seach under vaginapagina. So just...bear with me and answer me this. Can you get pregnant while on the placebo pill? Or can you at least link me to the entry? This is driving me nuts that I can't find it. x_x I feel like such a bother. lol

How do you go about buying condoms?

I'm really nervous about it. I can't imagine just walking into the supermarket and throwing a packet into the basket along with my bread and milk.

Is there a way to go about it discreetly? I don't want funny looks from other shoppers or the cashier (I'm especially worried about what the cashier will be thinking, because I've worked in retail, I know cashiers make fun of people that buy condoms).

I don't know what to do, because if I shop at 3 am when no one is there, the cashier is more likely to remember me, but if I go in the afternoon when it's really busy, more people will see me.

Is it better to go on my own, or take my boyfriend? Is it funny to see a couple buying condoms together?

I've already decided I will go to a supermarket I don't regularly shop in, so if the experience is really embarassing, it won't matter so much. But, should I buy them from a pharmacy instead? Will the sales assistant there be less judgemental and less likely to make fun of me? (And I am talking mentally, to themselves, I don't expect people to physically point and laugh, that would be weird.)

Where do you buy yours and how do you go about it? Is the experience as horribly embarrassing as I'm imagining it to be?

I'm not sure if I have any one specific question. I think I'm just looking for "guidance" more than anything.
