Can you spot the outer female genital area on my computer room wall's wooden paneling?

I think I have a YI, garlic didn't help so I stepped up to 1-dose tioconazole 6.5% (I'd tried monistat on the last one without success) AND I AM BURNING REALLY PAINFULLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I went to the gyno about the last one, I'm pretty sure it was tioconazole that she gave me and I didn't have any problem then.

At first it was just increased itching and now it really fucking hurts. Is this normal?? Will it go away AND cure the yeasties? Should I consult a doctor? How on earth do I do that? I had an appointment with PP on Tuesday but they called and wanted to reschedule, I haven't gotten in contact with them since and I'm sure they're closed on labor day. If these keeps up I don't know if I can wait until Tuesday anyway. I just moved, and I don't know anything about setting up a doctor's appointment...I'm just here for school so my mom didn't bother setting me up with a practitioner here (and she's currently on vacation)... how do I find out who to call? The only thing I can think of is 911 and that sounds KIND of extreme. Damn you labor day!

Not a sexual health question, but a question in need of a safe space: to those of you who have had a baby or babies, what were your reasons for doing so? And have they turned out to be good reasons -- i.e., are you experiencing what you were hoping to?

I'm most interested in hearing from those who were fence-sitters and really thought through their reasons before deciding, but I know there are a lot of you for whom the answer is I just always wanted to, and that's obviously a valid answer too.

Ok so i'm thinking about switching birth control..right now i'm on the pill and i have been for probably about 7 years or something..lately i have been getting spotting throughout the whole month and its obviously time for a new pill or something else..
so i think i'm interested in the nuvaring, but how many of you have gotten pregnant or know someone who has gotten pregnant while using the nuvaring? can your SO feel it when you have sex or they finger you or anything?

Whenever I see female ejaculation discussed, it is discussed in the context of g-spot stimulation.

I ejaculate with probably 30% of my orgasms. But 100% of my orgasms are from clitoral stimulation only.

Does anyone else here ejaculate without g-spot stimulation?

k. i'll make this as short and sweet as possible.

im on otc-lo. last night was my last active pill.
after i took my pill. i found my favorite pet rat, dead.
i cried so hard i threw up.
this was maybe an hour after taking the pill.
its not a definite that i puked it up.
but if i did, is there anything special i should do?
i would assume that if i did puke it up, i would start bleeding today, instead of tomorrow.
(i always start the day after my first placebo. a tuesday.)
i havent yet. so i dont know.
if i DID puke it up, that would mean im going to be going 8 days without hormones...which makes it inactive because you can only go 7 days.
what if i started my next pack on the last day of my placebos? would that fix things or would it just screw me up?
or should i just ride it out and use condoms for the first 7 days of my next pack?
thanks in advance.

I've been told that regular BC pills can be used as a form of emergency contraception if you take a certain number of them all at once. Is that a valid method? How does it work, exactly?

I'm a long time reader and commenter... But I've never posted but something I just saw sparked a question over here.. The tattoo of the uterus and vagina got me to thinking... I plan to have children in the future and I'm considering getting a tattoo on my stomach.. kinda to the side and low (think right part of the tummy) and I heard that it could cause problems with my uterus and possibly making it impossible to have children. I don't know if its a myth sparked by ignorant people but I was wondering if any body has anything to add or erase from that...

Ohh. and to the mothers who read this and have tattoos on their stomachs, how did the stretch marks and tattoo work out for you??

Wow...I haven't posted in a long time, haha.

Don't really know if this is vagina inflicted per se, but it's in relation haha.

I'll give you a little background information. I've got EDNOS (an eating disorder). So you could say I pretty much don't see the point of living if I gain weight. Anyway, I'm usually 120 pounds. Now, during my "PMS week", I eat like crazy, and just can't control myself for some reason. I usually gain between 5-10 pounds during this week. Is this normal?

How much do you guys usually gain during PMS week/period week?

Thanks :].

Hey guys, just a lil question.

When I was heading out my door yesterday morning (On my way to the redsox game, yay!) I remembered my pill- I usually take it around 12, but at this point I'd be in boston, and I didn't want to tote my giant Seasonale case around with me. So I popped out the pill, and put it in the zipper part of my wallet to take later.

At 12 when I went to take it, it must have fallen out, cause it wasn't there. I knew I was going to be having sex last night, so when I got home I just took the pill for the next day.

Now, I had two plans, and I just wanted your opinion on them.

I could 1)Keep taking my pills a day in advance until I get to my placebo week (two months from now) and instead of going 7 days, go 8 days without taking an active pill. I KNOW this will render my pill ineffective for the next few weeks and I need to be careful, but I'm crazy and want to stay on schedule.

or 2)Skip taking a pill tomorrow, and pick back up on it the next day. I also know THIS will render my pills ineffective for the next week or so and I MUST use backup (We use condoms, anyways). My only concern with this plan is the risk of breakthrough bleeding. Do you guys think I'd be at a significatly higher chance to BTB?

I'd prefer the second plan, just because I'm crazy like that, and don't want to be taking "fridays" pill on "thursday" for the next 2 months. But I also don't want to bleed when I'm not supposed to, so thats why my first plan appeals to me.

any suggestions?

And again, I know that either way, skipping one pill completely will make them ineffective, and put me at risk for pregnancy, but that is not my main concern right now- keeping my pills and my period on schedule is.

thanks guys :)

I'm having an issue and I'm hoping someone can clear it up. I've been on birth control (first OTC, then the patch) for over 4 years- before I was ever even sexually active. I think I have a somewhat lower sex drive, but I'm not really sure if it's my BC or if a lower sex drive is just normal for me. Other than this I've been really happy with the patch, and I'm not too keen on switching to something else. Is there any way, other than going off birth control altogether, to figure out if I could have a higher sex drive or if this is normal for me? It's been causing some stress in my relationship lately, which means it's time to see what can be done. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, I got my meningococcal meningitis shot about two weeks ago.

My cousin, who is not sexual active (btw), said it delayed her period about a week.

Is this true?

Hi --

I've been on the Pill (OC) for 9 years. I've taken it religiously - same time every day.

My husband and I plan to start TTC in January, so I want to have some natural cycles before that time. I just finished a pill pack, had my period, and am not continuing with the Pill (as of yesterday: the new pack).

I've started a charting account with Fertility Friend, and am taking my basal temp/checking my CM each day.

I'm wondering, though, if any of you have gone off the Pill, and how your body reacted. Did you get moody? Did you lose/gain weight? How'd you feel?

Thanks in advance,
kati

Just got waxed... my second time around to go bare down there. I used to shave but I'm kind of into waxing now. The pain is arghhhh but it's worth it. But of course I haven't completely given up on shaving. Anyway, my esthetician warned me that the more I wax, the more I will be prone to ingrown hairs. What do I do? Waxing tips, thought, experiences and advice please!

I started taking metronidazol (generic flagyl) on thursday. One of the side effects is darker urine, but I've also noticed that my discharge has been darker. Has anyone taken this and had this experience? It almost looks like I've started my period but I haven't and I've been really good about taking BC the past few days. Also there's no known interaction between this particular antibiotic and bc.

Back in April my boyfriend and I got pregnant while I was on birth control and we were using a condom.

Today we were having sex while I was three days into my period, and the condom broke but we didnt know until after he ejaculated and we were about to clean up.

Im 16 and dont drive so Im attempting to get a friend to take me to the clinic tomorrow, where hopefully they are going to give me the morning after pill. But we dont have Planned Parenthood, its some knock off version some Im not sure how things work there. If not, Im going to get my mom involved because I refuse to get pregnant again. Last time I miscarried and it about killed me emotionally.

Im wondering how likely it is I could be pregnant. I know you cant give me a scientific percentage or anything, but just in your guys opinion, all the other advice Ive gotten here has been brilliant.

Thanks.

Hi.. so, here's the story:

When I first started having my period, I'd cramp so bad I'd throw up, pass out, or be unable to walk...so they put me on ortho-tricyclen. I was on it for about 6 years, because it made me able to keep food down.. though I still had to stay home from school 2-3 days a month because my legs would cramp up and I couldn't walk. They switched me to the 3 month pill in order to help the cramping, but I gained 6 lbs the first 5 days, so I switched back. Now, I'm on the patch and I'm having a few problems. I have an abnormally low libido (having gone from sex 2-3 times a day to once a week if I'm lucky), my face is breaking out, I've gained some weight, and my moods are all out of whack. I'll be standing in the grocery store the week before my period and just start crying for no reason. I've actually physically thrown books and lamps at my partner during PMS, and the cramps are worse than they ever were. This is completely unlike me. I've only been on this since July, but my periods are more irregular than ever. Anyone know how long you should wait before deciding something isn't right for you? I like only having to worry about changing it once a week, but I don't think it's worth it. I'd like to go off birth-control all together, but I'm a newly wed and I've never been off birth-control.. I'm a bit afraid to try going without. Any suggestions?

I've heard that it can be true that sisters and mothers living under one roof get their periods around the same time.
Well, that has been proven TRUE for my family because I have 2 sisters and my mom. At the same time every month we would all menstrate.

Anyways, here's my question. I've been on the pill for about 4 years religiously and my youngest sister just started taking hers this past month. We both started on the same Sunday because I'm afraid that if she gets hers a week or two after mine, it'll mess me up because the horomones or feramones in our breathing air would mess my period up.

Well, she ended up getting break through bleeding because she started mid-cycle and now my body is acting like it wants to have break through bleeding. I get cramps, PMS... yadda yadda, but my period is like 2 weeks away.

Is her breakthrough bleeding causing my body to want to have break through bleeding, too?
