Just thought I'd give a heads-up to anyone with Comcast Digital cable: if you have On Demand, check out Discovery Channel's OD programs. There's a 1 hour show called 'The Pleasure Zone' that is highly informative; it contains information about the genitals, orgasms, possible infections, common problems, etcetera.

And a few questions about the morning after pill:

1. How long is "a morning after?" If you take the pill after, say, 48 hours, does it still work?
2. What are the common symptoms of taking the morning after pill?
3. Ladies who have taken them before: what was your experience like? Would you mind taking it again?

Oh, and thank you for helping me with my inflamed vulva the other day! I called my gyno and talked to her about it. She said it probably was a soap irritation, so I ran a bit of cold water down in my vulva this morning and this afternoon. Tonight I feel like a million dollars. Thanks, ladies! <3

Here's where it started.

As of right now, we've made $97.48

You are all incredible! We can't express how thrilled we are by the participation of our members and how much you all mean to us!

$53.52 away from our goal!

A couple accounting things:

If you donate from your bank account (vs. a credit card) Paypal charges a handling fee (that's why we've got $.48 instead of a round figure).

If you have your account set up so that it mails the funds rather than sends them electronically the money will not arrive until 6/8, so I'm refunding those folk's donations immediately.

Lastly, if you've donated and want your user name listed on the community info page (even if I refunded your donation), please leave a comment here (that'll simplify things on my end).

Our gratitude is boundless!

Love,
Sasha

This is more of a whine, really.

I have pains/cramps that FEEL like my period is about to start. However, I have been kind of sick to my stomach last night and today. Maybe it's from running about at work, but it is really hurting. I'd like to think it's not my period coming in a WEEK early. It's come about 3 days early before

*cry* make em stooooop. And not with my period. :(

I'm watching this on PBS right now, and thought that many of you would be very interested in this article. Personally, I'm more than a little disgusted.

We've reached our goal, so you've helped vp become a permanent LJ fixture :)

Whether you donated, or considered donating, or just enjoy some little thing about the community, or are wondering what the heck I'm talking about, or even if you think this is all a bunch o' hooey, we appreciate you.

Thank you for helping to make this community the amazing place that it is *big grins all around*

Stop sending me money now!

viva la vaginapagina-ers!

@_@ Posting more for general amusment than anything.

wow so I've never been a sleepwalker except for one isolated incident where I ended up in my bathtub...... but the other day I was SURE i remembered going to bed, with a pad on. I knew I'd done that because I'd gone to bed in just my underwear which i wouldnt' normally do if i wasn't wearing a pad.

I got up the next morning to find I was wearing.... no pad. I was on the 3rd night of my period so i didn't leak everywhere or anything but I couldn't for the life of me figure out what had happened.

I changed my sheets today - 2 days later, and at the bottom of my bed where the sheets tuck into the mattress out falls... my pad.

@_@ how on earth did I manage to get my pad unstuck, out of my undies and then to the bottom of my bed.. while still wearing said undies?

My husband and I are going to try to conceive in late August/early September depending on my ovulation. I have been on the pill for 6 years, and stopped taking it last week. For the next three months I will be tracking my ovulation so that we have a better chance of conceiving when we begin to try at the end of the summer.

So our dilemma for the next three months is birth control. Having the baby three months too soon would mean having to sit out a semester of school, and I just can't do that. As since I'm not sure of my ovulation schedule yet, FAM is going to be hard to do right now. So, I'm leaning towards contraceptive foam. I've read up on it, and it seems like the best bet. It's only about 80% effective, but we're also going to use the old fashion withdrawal method as well (also 80% effective). Condoms irritate me and my husband, so we'd like to avoid them if possible.

So, feed back on the foam? Any other advice?

Thanks!

I just tried posting this in amipregnant, but it got regected because i didn't do the whole survey. But... the survey doesn't apply in this case! Alright, well here it goes.

My friend had sex last night. The condom broke. She started her period early this morning. Should she take EC? Is it possible for her to get pregnant?

Hopefully you guys can answer this for me.

Thanks so much!

Does stopping birth control make one more susceptible to pregnancy?

Yes, I'm going to xpost this into amipregnant...
I am so worried right now because my period is five days late.

I am used to being very regular because I am on Yasmin-28, however as my boyfriend is going to be gone for the next 6 months, I decided to get off of it. Two weeks ago, he came home to surprise me and we had sex everyday for 6 days with condoms. I was so worried about their ineffectiveness because I was so used to being on birth control, but he assured me that we put it on correctly, everything worked, etc. (Hehe, I'm obviously paranoid!)

However, I'm just so worried at the moment...I don't know if I'm just irregular because I'm off the Yasmin, or what.

Background: My last period was from May 5-May 8 and my last "with Yasmin". I had been taking birth control for 14 months.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
