Does anyone have any great ways of remembering to take the pill? I was doing really good there for a while, but lately I've been forgetting, and having to take it hours past my "hour." :*(

I bought a big red flower ring to remind myself, but not I'm so used to seeing it, it doesn't remind me any more. Any good tips? Thanks, ladies!

Have you ladies ever had the time when your first two weeks of OTC dried up your skin a bit? Because for some reason the skin on my labia, the soles of my feet and over my nostrils is getting unbearably dry...

I've also had a brief congestion-from-hell episode that was made a bit easier by Allegra, but is that also related to taking OTC?

I'm on the pill and my period is regular. I get it the week I'm not on my pills, either tuesday or wednesday.

I'm supposed to get my period this week, and last night after going to the bathroom I saw spots of blood on the toilet paper I used.

As of this morning, the only time I see blood is after I wipe. And even then it's very little. Is it still considered a period if the only time I see blood is when I wipe?

(((I know it's still early but I'm getting a little worried)))

Thanks!!

So I had my period last week.. but the first two days it was just a brownish dishcharge and then the third day I had light bleeding and then it never came back.

I've been very good with the pill so I SHOULDN'T be pregnant. But, it's weird that my period was so light and unusual. Should I take a pregnancy test just in case?

next week is my boy's birthday, so i was hoping to give him some hot birthday sex. i just realized that i'll be getting my period next week and i'm too worried that if i try to skip it, it'll end up being worse than normal. i'm thinking about trying out those instead softcups to block my flow.. i checked the memories and saw a couple mentions about them, but nothing too detailed so i was wondering..

if you've used the softcup, what were your experiences with them during sex?

I'm brandyc, from Oklahoma. Stumbled on this community by a friend's cross post, thought i'd check it out. Veeeery impressed with the honesty here, and frank conversation. I'm sure this will fun.
And just to get things rolling...

Does anyone get frequent UTI's??? I do, too much. Cause? Solution without meds? I know about Cranberry Juice, but anything else?

Since I'm being plagued by yet another yeast infection I thought I'd share something that I found off a website, that I have been using for the past few days and it's getting better each day.

Tea tree oil is a great thing for all infections in your vagina, it helps with itching and burning [especially if you keep the bottle in the fridge beforehand...!]

♥Take a tampon and coat it in lube [or olive oil is what I've been using] to stop the tea tree being soaked right into the tampon. Make sure it's covered completely in the olive oil or lube.
♥Put a few drops of tea tree oil on the tampon [if you've never used tea tree on your vagina before test it a little before trying this!]
♥And insert! It can really cool you down which is what you need! Remember not to leave it in for longer than you would usually leave a tampon in for :) x

[Isn't it funny that when I'm posting this I get a pop-up for medication to buy to treat yeast infections...hmmm]

ok. i'm not on the pill. condoms are it, thus far. and well, the familiar i-think-my-little-red-friend-is-here feelings began a couple of days earlier than i expected, and i was all happy-like today because...well, i always am when my period starts. but i'm a tad concerned due to the fact that the flow isn't in full-swing as it usually is several hours after i start (it was around noon today). also, i don't really go smelling my blood on a regular basis, but it definitely doesn't have the same aroma as normal. it's...well, just a little different. color's about the same, maybe almost un-noticably lighter. the cramps are there as per usual, but a bit lighter. that could be because i started taking tylenol earlier, as opposed to right when it starts, cause i usually get mind-numbingly bad cramps on the first day and i've heard that starting the pain meds earlier can make the hurt not quite so bad.

i'm PARANOID about pregnancy. do i have grounds to still be concerned? i mean, the period-stuff is there...just rather less intense than usual.

I've been lurking & commenting sometimes, but have a question I really haven't found answers for online anywhere yet.

I had never had a yeast infection in my life until last month. I went off the pill in July because we're trying to get pregnant. While this was a phenomenal boost to my libido after 10 yrs on the pill, it's a strain on some other things. Last month, about 2 days before my period was due, I got a yeast infection. I Monistated it for a week and it went away after my period. I was perfectly fine all month - no problems. Right now my period is due on Sunday. And I'm starting to feel a little itchy. And my discharge is thicker than it should be for just cervical mucous this time of the month. So what the heck is up - why would an impending period cause a yeast infection. And more importantly, is it safe to use OTC yeast stuff safe to use if you're pregnant (I won't know if I am until Monday morning, but don't want to have the itchies until then)??

i've done some research and decided i'm taking no chances. my only question now is, where can i get vitamin c with no bioflavonoids? i can't get them off the internet but there's a gnc close by and i've looked at the gnc website so far. and all they appear to have is *with*. i've heard vague references to being able to get them at cheapie-stores but, like where? dollar general? and... how do i *know* that it's the kind without bioflavonoids?
the search continues. thanks ladies in advance for any and all help.

i think that nuvaring has a really neat interactive presentation on what to expect your first gyn visit and i thought that some of the girls who have never had one and are nervous could benefit from looking at it.

click here to check it out.

Just wanted to share my experiences and ask a couple of questions.

Inserting: it attempted to fly out of my hand. Got it under control and it went in just fine. Didn't feel like it was in far enough so I used a ... toy... to help it along a little. :)
Week One: Couldn't feel a thing. Boyfriend checked it out -- Pulled it out to look at it, thought it was cool.
Week Two: Still can't feel anything. Sex without condoms for the first time. Definitely different. The g-spot stimulation is a bonus!
Week Three: Everything seems to be fine. Took it out tonight on schedule. Found it a little amusing that it had gone from it's round shape to a more elliptical one from being inside me.
Now I'm waiting to see how long it takes for my period to come and how it behaves this first month.

So far all I have to say about the ring is YAY! :)

Questions: When I took it out, there was a ... longish white stringy organic substance wrapped around one end and it came out with the ring. My theory's on what this was include everything from semen from last night to odd discharge to something caused by the ring. Any ideas? Second and Third questions has more to do with sex itself. We seem to be suffering from wet spot syndrome and I was wondering how most people deal with the leaky feeling after their SO comes. I instantly want to jump up and run into the bathroom to clean up, which... I'm not happy about for other reasons. Lastly, I seem to have a slight burning feeling after sex. Don't know if this is caused by his semen or something with the ring. It's not too uncomfortable but it seems to be only located around the opening to my vagina. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
