Does anyone have any great ways of remembering to take the pill? I was doing really good there for a while, but lately I've been forgetting, and having to take it hours past my "hour." :*(

I bought a big red flower ring to remind myself, but not I'm so used to seeing it, it doesn't remind me any more. Any good tips? Thanks, ladies!

I try to do it at a meal time or something. That usually works for me. Or I guess you could set your alarm or something? Or take it first thing in the morning so you don't forget?

I dunno, it sure is hard to remember, isn't it? :(

put it with ur toothbrush, if u brush ur teeth everyday. that worked for me. or if your on holidays or somethiing and ur getting out of bed different each day, thus not brushing ur teeth the same time, then set your alarm for like 7am or something. put the pill and a glass/bottle of water by ur bed. just sit up, take the pill, and go straight back to sleep again.

I had that for a while when i put it right next to my alarm clock, but never really remembered. Moved them to by my computer instead so when i'm checking emails first thing i see them and take one! Either ta or stick posters up everywhere?!

i used a watch with an alarm on it. set the alarm for 8pm (or whenever)daily and make sure you take it right then.

also, dont skip your reminder pills at least until you get used to it again.

I just kept mine next to my fish food, and took it every night when I fed my fish.

Unique ways to remember

A roommate in college worked at an answering service, so she set up a reminder on the work computer to tell her when to take it. On the days off, when it was triggered, one of the employees would call to remind her to "take her allergy medicine". She called it that, saying she was allergic to kids :)

I made it part of my bedtime routine to take my pill. I'm very much a creature of habit, so that has worked well.

Well if you're active, the possibilty of a kid is a huge reminder to take them if that's the only birth control method you're using.

If you aren't or just have trouble remembering, put them somewhere you go all the time. Tape them to the mirror or something. Get a little alarm that'll remind you to take them. Oh. Have a friend call you at a certain time each night and they can remind you. Take it when you wake up or before bed. Take it when you eat. There are a lot of options.

I once read a suggestion of putting it in the underwear drawer, since most people go there every day, but obviously the time you do that might be pretty variable.

Setting my cell phone alarm always worked great for me. I set a note for every day for like 2 weeks, and then I would check it once in a while, delete the old notes, and add a week of new ones. You could also set a watch alarm or anything else tht goes off. :)

while you may not want to hear this, maybe you could try a different form of birth control? They say the patch is easier to deal with/remember, since it's only one a week that you change it. Might want to give it some thought if the pill is really cramping your style

Ihad the exact same problem, now I switched to the ring, and i only have to remember to take it out and put it in. I have alarms set up on my cell phone to remind me of that!

I'm one of those people who does NOTHING by habit and everything, even brushing my teeth is something i can forget! That is why i carry everything a person could need with me! But then i usally loose it...
I also lost my pills alot when I took them.. that wasn't good.

I have ADD.... nothing is easy for me.

I take mine when I wake up. I set the alarm so even if I don't *get* up at that time, I will wake up and take it. Prior to that, I set my watch alarm to go off at that time.

I put mine right on top of my alarm clock so I have to move them (and take one) to turn my clock off in the morning...
