i've done some research and decided i'm taking no chances. my only question now is, where can i get vitamin c with no bioflavonoids? i can't get them off the internet but there's a gnc close by and i've looked at the gnc website so far. and all they appear to have is *with*. i've heard vague references to being able to get them at cheapie-stores but, like where? dollar general? and... how do i *know* that it's the kind without bioflavonoids?
the search continues. thanks ladies in advance for any and all help.

1.) Get a pregnancy test.
2.) Get on BC.
Because, seriously, it's not healthy to be THIS paranoid every month just because you wanna have sex. In fact, this paranoia of yours can be the very reason your period's a little wonky this month. You just need to learn how to relax and I think getting onto BC would help that along.

You are being paranoid. Take a few deep breaths before you do something harmful to yourself.

Date: 2003-10-29 08:18 pm (UTC)Like I said, if you're sincerely worried about it, go take a pregnancy test and see what the results are. If (and it prolly will, trust me) it comes out negative, I'd still go and look into BC - since it COMPLETELY stops ovulation and even if ovulation did occur, the hormones make the mucus lining on your cervix thicken so that sperm can't make it into the uterus and even if THAT happens, the uterus' lining is so thin, it would be a hostile environment for a fertilized egg. It's helped calm me down ALOT and it's made my boyfriend and I much more relaxed.
I just wouldn't jump to conclusions just because your period has decided to act like periods sometimes do and isn't quite ready to show itself yet. Truth be told, some women's hormones really don't even out till they're in their 20s, so this could just be your period shifting around due to a change in hormones.
I wish you luck. But I repeat what I said - don't go dabbling into things that you don't know much about until all your resources are exhausted. If you're worried, go see a doctor. :)

Date: 2003-10-29 08:30 pm (UTC)You have to do these things in steps! And step one is: make sure your fears of being pregnant are true before taking any further steps. Drugstore pregnancy tests are quite accurate, and my gynocologist has assured me that it is very very hard to muck them up into giving an incorrect read, and you can always grab a bunch to be sure.
I can understand how you're feeling right now, as i've been in the paranoia boat many times myself. I've been 100% sure that i'm pregnant (weird bleeding pattern, cramps, strange stuff TOTALLY not on track with me and my well-known body), only to take a multitude of tests that said otherwise, and took such a load off my shoulders and stopped me from taking unnecessary action ^_^. I think that taking any herbal/home remedy is NOT something we should just jump into whenever we're scared.
Please see here, i've seen many vaginapagina ladies have recommended this site to posters in the past. There are warnings and such, and info on how to take it properly if you find out you are indeed pregnant. It should clear your questions about the type of vitamin C:
