I have a sort of confusing question. about a week ago...i was sure that i ovulated. i had all the usual signs. the slight cramping, eggwhite discharge. and it went away for a few days. but just yesterday i started feeling like this again. and my period is a week away. It feels like I'm ovulating a second time. This is really strange and has never happened to me before, and i have a pretty regular cycle. Any thoughts?

I just wanted to mention that I picked up some of those sea sponges to use yesterday in lieu of tampons and they are AWESOME.

two thumbs up.

I am about to start OrthoTrycyclin (sp?) and I wondered what kinds of experiences people have had on it, and what can I expect?

Thanks!

Hey girls, i'm a little bit confused with my body here and i was hoping perhaps you can guys can help out. So about a week ago i had sex with my boyfriend and the condom broke, i took Plan B, but i had JUST finished my period. So i assume that Plan B wouldnt induce bleeding and now its a week later. During this whole time i was still having sex with my boyfriend and i was wondering if perhaps we were having too rough sex? Because he was hitting my cervix and i dont if this happens to anyone else but he was hitting hard and fast that it just got to thte point where i couldnt take it. It was pleasureable but then a bit pained. It left my abdominal muscles all sore. then i began bleeding later. I bled for about three days. Today we had sex. Today he hit the cervix just like i had described earlier and i was completely done bleeding. I just went to the bathroom and i'm bleeding alot, so much that i had to put a tampon in. So i'm wondering....is it possible that when having sex and hitting the cervix that fast and hard it'll make you bleed? I know i dont have any STDs and neither does he because we have both been tested.
thanks!

Hello! This is the first time I've posted to a community of any kind and I'm eager for input. I've had difficulty accessing the archives of this community and did not find anything specifically relevent on [livejournal.com profile] birthcontrol. Bear with me since this is a multi-part question

Is it abnormal to want to have sex as much as I do? I mean, seriously, it's like everyday and I've been living with my boyfriend for almost 3 months now.. you'd think I'd get over it. He doesn't really want to have sex that often and I don't want to be a bitch about it, but what the hell can I do about this?

My vibrator is low on batteries too..

I blame this on being a virgin until the age of 19, I obviously have a lot of built up sexual energy. =P

Anyone here taking progesterone?

Any strange side effects I should be wary of?

My doc just prescribed it to regulate my periods. I think he actually said "to cleanse my uterus" or something.

He also made sure to mention that progesterone is not a contraceptive, and that I should not assume that I'm being protected because I won't be with just progesterone. Twice, I said it was unnecessary, and I think he finally got it when my girlfriend and I kept laughing. Then he said "well, if you decide to have sex in that way again, you'll need it."

What a moron.

Anyhoo, thanks in advance.

I few years back I was diagnosed as having polycystic ovaries. This caused me to have my period MAYBE every 4 months or LESS. That seems to be over now because I got my period and then 2 months later again, then it was every other month and now I seem to be getting it ALMOST every month. So here is my question...

I find pads to be uncomfortable, I can't use tampons (they just don't seem to work AND are even MORE uncomfortable)and really I want to stop using the disposable stuff because it seems so unnecessary and I feel bad knowing I buy pads that come from Procter & Gamble (I'm a vegan, P&G = ICK!)

How well does the Diva Cup* work? Any of you try it and have anything you think I should know about it? I do have a VERY heavy flow when menstruating and I worry it may not be the right thing for me to use, also has it made any of you ill, like TSS or anything? Just curious. Also, do any of you use those cloth re-usable pads? Good or bad??? I'm just trying to get an idea here from people who have used this stuff before I spend so much money on it (because I'm usually BROKE!)

Any information comments/information would be great, thanks!

*(I picked the Diva Cup over The Keeper because I have had allergic reactions to some condoms. I this could've been due to the spermicide or lubricants, but I'd rather play it safe and avoid rubber altogether)
