vaginapagina | Depression after period?

I'm wondering if any of you have experienced a period of depression that lasts 5 or so days, somewhere between the end of one's menstrual bleeding and prior to ovulation. I'm not talking about the immediate pre-ovulation mood shift that can last a few days; this is something earlier, and more prolonged.

I'm planning to talk to my doctor about it, since I've experienced it two months running and it's annoying as hell. Attempting to Google similar symptoms didn't come up with much. If you've experienced or heard about anything along these lines, please comment/link. Thanks!
