So I'm not sure if its a yeast infection still...

there's no itching or burning (unless i put in monistat which im on day 2 of)

there's no discharge.

there's no nasty smell. in fact it smells a bit like bread.

i just keep getting this thick moldyish white crap inside my vag lips and around my hole and stuff.

Is that still considered a yeast infection?

ALSO- Before I knew I had a problem down there, my fiance gave me oral sex, and now we think he got a little infection on his tongue.. lol

is that normal? and any tips on how to treat it? he says its been hurting him since sunday.

sorry for all the posts! i'm just worried about what i'm dealing with!

Yeast does smell like bread, which is made with yeast.

And yes, he can have the same yeast in his mouth, and will need to seek treatment for that... if you have access to health care, and topicals haven't been working, there are oral antifungals that might work (fluconazole is what I've taken).

If your only symptom is the white crud, it's likely to be the monistat leaking out. Seriously, that stuff lingers.

In general though, you will likely continue to have symptoms of a yeast infection for the duration of the monistat--or even longer! I recommend you follow it up with oral or vaginal probiotics, or even one of the other front-line home treatments on vaginapagina.com.

As for your fiance, you can treat oral yeast infections with some of those home treatments. This website suggests gentian violet or diflucan (http://www.emedicinehealth.com/oral_thrush/page6_em.htm). Eating lots of live active culture yogurt should help (soy yogurt sometimes has live cultures), and maybe even an apple cider vinegar rinse as outlined for vaginas in vaginapagina.com. Tastes awful, but I've used acv gargles for my strep throat and haven't died yet. Raw garlic might be delicious, if you're up for that.

I advise against hydrogen peroxide rinses for a few reasons, the least of which is that HOOH can soften your enamel. Similarly, boric acid probably isn't the best move, neither is an oral application of a topical YI cream of course. If you need to treat his penis for yeast, those topical creams should be fine.

Oooh, I know exactly the discharge you're talking about.
Does it seem to be mostly external? Did your monistat come with an external cream? Use that! Though, I find that it doesn't totally help me (maybe OTC yeast treatments just don't work for my yeast). Instead, I use coconut oil with a tiny dab of tea tree oil, or a diluted apple cider vinegar rinse.

In any case, continuing the monistat will help overall. It's a good idea to supplement the treatment with a home method or just plain lots of probiotics and water.

I find it curious that it's just a small bit on his tongue, and that it hurts not itches. Is it possible that the spot is an injury or abrasion from oral, not a reaction to the meds or the yeast? Or, even something unrelated that was perhaps exacerbated by oral/yeast/meds?

I've been quietly reading your posts for a while (...that sounds creepy, sorry. XD) But I didn't think I could add anything of value to your struggle.
Buuuut... I think your missing period could possibly be just being concerned about this whole issue. If it still doesn't show up, I'd definitively go get a test (even though you're using condoms). If anything, it'll just appease your mind and maybe that's what you need to get your period!
