And I mean that in the most literal way possible. I'm aroused but I am just not producing fluid. I am thinking I might be a little dehydrated considering I've uped my workout but not my water intake but in the mean time, I was considering adding a lube to the routine. We tried the KY His and Hers about two years ago and I ended up with a yeast infection, a week later. There were other possible contributing factors, so I can't say for sure that it was the KY but I am still reluctant to try another lube. Anyone have any suggestions or links to the most PH friendly lubes?

Try just plain, water based lube. I use Wet Platinum because it doesn't seem to get sticky or tacky.

Agreed - I heart sliquid.

If you're lube shopping, look at the ingredients to find one that does NOT contain glycerine or any parabens. (Astroglide has a new glycerine & paraben free lube that's available in some places if you don't have access to lots of different kinds of lube). Keep in mind that lubes are pretty easy to shop for online.

There's also silicone-based lube - it's VERY slipper and stays wet a long time. The only caveat is that it can stain sheets & is NOT to be mixed with silicone sex toys.

You could also use oil (like the coconut oil mentioned below) - it's nice because it's solid until it gets warm, making it easy to scoop up a bit. However, oil is NOT compatible with latex condoms so please use something else OR use female condoms/non-latex condoms with this option.

o just to add-you can get a free sample of astro's glycerine/paraben free lube from their website :)

o...i feel ridiculous. So are female condoms compatible with oil based lubes?

Totally! Female condoms aren't made with latex (they're polyurethane) and it's the latex/oil combination that's problematic.

ty! I knew both of those things, and managed to not put them together in my head. I was hesitant about getting some coconut oil for lube for if/when I need STI protection again in the future, but I could always try out female condoms if/when the time comes :)

Also, awesome tip about the free sample.

still waiting on my others. Of course they will be arriving to my mom's house since I'm moving back to school this weekend lol.

There's also a link for a free condom sample from trojan! I remember getting one when i was younger and being so excited lol (the day I was finally going to get to use it?...day after it expired, go figure.)

I just bought some Sliquid and can say that it is pretty awesome for a water based lube!

I'm loving using coconut oil (which is easily purchased at any health food store, if not your grocery store)

From what I've read, and please someone correct me if I'm wrong!...it actually helps fight yeast. So if you are prone this is a good route to go

The only downside is its oily and may leave stains on your sheets if they are a light color

Also damages latex condoms, if you're using those.

Shower curtain over the made bed, flannel flat sheet over the shower curtain. All messiness is contained, no staining the nice sheets. Warmed coconut oil is nice for massage purposes, too. :)

I second the suggestion for Sliquid. You may need to order it online, but it is totally worthwhile. I've tried the Sliquid Organics line as well, but I prefer the basic version.

I am not sure what you're budget is. I've tried the KY and astroglide and I've never liked it. Too sticky and stuff too.

if you have sex shop around you:
http://www.sheboptheshop.com/lubricant/hathor-pure

the one I went to was female friendly and they also had little sample packets for like 25 cents.

seriously the best lube ever.

However, it is no compatible with condoms and can be a bit messy.

Not sweet or sugary at all. It doesn't have a taste to me, and it's never caused a yeast infection with me, and as a diabetic, I'm prone to them. :)

I use coconut oil, and mine has no smell whatsoever, for what that's worth (I've never tasted it so I don't know if it tastes like anything). It's solid below about 76 degrees though, so I warm mine up by placing the whole jar in a bowl of warm/hot water for a few minutes. Then it's liquidy and nice. :) (It will also melt quickly when it comes into contact with your body, or his, but it's kind of gritty when solid so it might uncomfortable for a few moments before it melts).

It is not sugary, but the kind I have does smell coconutty. I like the smell though so it doesn't bother me.

Coconut Oil Lube is Awesome

I use SemPure. It is 100% pure coconut oil, but liquid at room temperature so I don't have to heat it or spoon it out, just tip the bottle and pour a little out of the cap. You can get it online at www.sempure.net or on amazon. I have tried a bunch of lubes, including the Sliquid line. I am super sensitive and even the Sliquid bothered me. SemPure is the only lube I have ever used that doesn't cause me to constantly feel like I am getting a yeast infection. I haven't had one since I started using it. SemPure washes out of sheets really well, too, unlike the silicone lubes. Plus, the chemicals in the silicone lubes scare me.
