What is it?!

Okay, here's my jumbled around explanation, I sure hope someone can help me.

About a month or so ago, my bf and I used KY Warming Liquid. Bad experience. Basically, it burned the heck out of both of us. It gave my boyfriend cuts that continue to reopen everytime we have sex (he's now taking amoxicillan).

When we used it, it irritated me, I got a yeast infection soon after. Don't know if that was related or not. It cleared up. Sex again (w/o that stuff), felt like the beginning of the same thing. It went away when my period started, thankfully. I'm not sure if it's because I was raw and my bf was too.

Now. That was the beginning of October that I had my period. We haven't had sex that much since then -- it's not that comfortable. But when we do -- well, the cuts totally open up on him, and me ... it gets ouchy. This is more noticeable, though. It hurts, it kinda burns (not like UTI though), and it kinda itches. And, I have these bumps ... kinda hard to explain where they are. But they're like, below, to the left, of my vaginal lips. I've had them once before, last year -- it made sex painful, I went to the doc, had a something infection and got some amoxicillan. They're like small, itchy bumps.

The thing is ... sex didn't really hurt the other night (Monday?) ... I don't know if this is from (later) fingernail scratches since it seemed to get worse after manual play, or if it's because my boyfriend is still really raw, or WHAT it is. But it's uncomfortable, and itchy, and I don't know what it might be or what might be good to take to help it. Is there anything that helps heal the vagina fast? I don't even know what I'd TELL my doctor. So I'm eating yogurt and drinking water and stuff (and cranberry when I can get my hands on it), but I don't know. All I do know is KY Warming Liquid is AWFUL.

And if anyone has ANY advice/suggestions, please share. Oh, and also -- my one doctor had said that, if my yeast infection didn't respond well to Diflucan (before), there was a good cream to try that she used a lot. It wasn't Monistat -- can someone think of what else it might be? Also, would that hurt me as badly as Vagisil did?! It doesn't itch INSIDE ... but it HURTS too.

Sorry this is so jumbled!

Jessie

I don't know about the rest of your post (sorry), but I tried that KY Warming Liquid stuff too, and it was awful. It just hurt, an awful, burny, stretchy feeling. like someone was trying to shove a giant cayenne pepper up there.

I haven't had sex since then because I haven't felt like it... which very much might have something do with the fact that the last time I did, it friggin' hurt because of the KY.

stop having sex until he's healed.

I agree. You can't really speed up a healing process; you need things to heal properly, not quickly.

Also, what is KY Warming Liquid vs. the regular stuff? I don't use KY -- I'm pretty devoted to Probe -- so I haven't noticed the warming liquid version. Is it suppose to do something special?

It sounds a lot like some of the karma sutra oils (except you can't use those when using condoms since the oil will bust open the latex). I just don't like/trust KY. As far as lube is concerned, I only like products by Probe, Astroglide and Maximus. Plus, doesn't it make you wonder what kind of chemical makes the warming liquid type to heat up???

Not to be a downer, but I think you're confusing two things. I think that yes, the warming liquid is a bitch, but in addition, you very well might have herpes (don't freak -- 1 out of 4 women have it!). You have the symptoms of an outbreak: the bumps, and the pain, most notably.

You should get yourself to the doctor's. It's NOT a huge deal -- they give you an antiviral and then you take a year of supression therapy (pill daily) and then you're pretty much never outbreaking again (usually).

thats what im thinkin. open wounds on genitals arent usually caused by lube. rough manual, yeah, but i think its pretty unlikely that you got them FROM the lube.

Just remember: the social stigma against herpes is much worse than the disease itself.

Damn social stigmas.

The only thing that concerns me here is that I know for a fact that herpes is almost always misdiagnosed. (I have lots of statistics I could share, but I won't.) It could very well have gone dormant and had nothing to do with the drugs.

Anyway, just get a blood test! No biggie :)

Good luck!
