I cut myself shaving down there today. I was wondering if it's alright that I had unprotected sex right afterwards. I'm on my third month of birth control pills. I don't think it would affect it, but I'm asking for some insight just in case anyone disagrees. Also, was it a good idea that I had sex with the cut from shaving? I was bleeding afterwards but I don't know if it was because I'm near the end of my period, or if it was because of the cut. It was more pinkish/redder than usual, and towards the end of period it's normally brownish. Anyway, was it bad what I did? Could I be pregnant? And also, how can I get this to heal?? It bothers me when I urinate and such...

The only way to get pregnant is to actually get semen inside your vagina (while not using contraceptives, of course). Do you know how pregnancy happens? When semen is inside your vagina, the sperm swim up to an egg, if there is one, and fertilize it. The fertilized egg then implants itself in your uterus. Semen has to be inside your vagina to get the sprem to where it needs to go. Does that help?

Date: 2003-10-13 08:06 pm (UTC)If your partner has and STD or something, THEN the cut is bad. Or unprotected sex is bad. Both.
If your partner is STD-free, the friction and rubbing may just irritate it, that's all! :)
