Something I came across today on Healthbords was the idea that vibrators can desensitize you to other forms of stimulation, I can see how it can be true because often I find nothing happens if I have been using a vibrator too often, my vulva and my hand goes numb and using my hands afterwards doesn't work, but then Healthboards isn't always the best source of information.
So how true is this and do these effects last very long?

It was a comment someone posted - someone posted something about only being able to orgasm with a vibrator and someone said that it had been discussed elsewhere and that it can desensitize you.
