Hi everyone,

I was hoping to get some feedback on taking birth control non-cyclic (not getting periods).

I've suffered with pelvic pain (specifically during intercourse) since I was 18 and I'm 25 now. I've done multiple things to help it but had minimal success.

One thing I've thought though is that it seemed like it wasn't as bad the short time I used the NuvaRing in 2007.

My doctor said I could indeed try taking BC again but taking it non-cyclic because keeping the hormones level at all times would possibly help.

He prescribed me Portia (a pill) to try.

It seems weird to not get a period. He told me it's safe and nothing to worry about but it just seems odd.

Please share your experience with taking BC this way and any suggestions on painful intercourse as it relates to pelvic pain.

Try anal then the rest really dosent matter. After a good month break in period it won't hurt anymore and you'll be done with BC. caligogreywings get a job w/ health insurence and quit abusing the system, I'm sick of paying for your broke dirty vagina. thanks yall!
