Yesterday, the right side of my lower pelvic area started to hurt. It kind of feels like cramps but it's more of a pain feeling and it's only on one side and kind of goes around to my lower back. I think it's my ovary maybe? I'm on birth control so I don't think I'm ovulating although I did take plan B a week or two ago when I ran out of my birth control so maybe it's hormone overload? I don't have any pregnancy symptoms so I don't think it's that. Should I go get it checked out or just see if it subsides?

I hope you feel better soon!

Date: 2010-02-12 04:58 am (UTC)The thing is, I don't pee very often. So now I'm wondering if maybe there's a correlation. I just don't feel the urge to pee and I end up just forgetting because I never feel like I have to pee. I pee about 4 times a day, sometimes 2-3 times. But I'm not sure. I can feel pain definitely in my ovaries but it's also shooting towards my lower back, too.

Personally, because a kidney infection is pretty much life-threatening, and peeing in a cup is not life-threatening, I would advise finding an affordable health clinic today and peeing in a cup just to be sure. It's possible it's just a muscle strain. It's possible it's an ovarian cyst and some referred pain.
But the risk-benefit ratio suggests that peeing in a cup to be sure is the logical winner.
Luck!
