Worried of having an STD, not sure what it is..?

I've got an STD scare...

My boyfriend had scabies awhile back before we met, on his penis. He went to the docotor, got it all cleared up. But every now and again he gets these red bumps. He says they get itchy and come and go, usually in the same spots. They aren't blistery, just red patch bumps, not itty bitty, just a bump. No oozing or pus-ing. I though maybe they'd be scars? But they come and go and yea. The only other thing is in his semen, there's little jelly like things sometimes, which I also asked about before, but i've read that it's normal?

He's worried of having herpes or something else, and is sooo worried that he's given me something. I haven't had any symptoms besides having pain during sex, which i've made a psot about before. But the pain only started after my hymen tore, blah blah, i need to get it checked out. But maybe I do have something and that could be it? I've had a little bit of odd discharge, but nothing major.

Any help? Sound like an STD or herpes? I've given him oral many times and have no promlem in my mouth, and we usually use a condom during sex, but there has been a few times that we haven't.

Cold sores are herpes. They are usually HSV-1 -- HSV-1 prefers to infect the mouth, and HSV-2 prefers to infect the genitals. However, each can infect the other location, so if you ever get a cold sore... Don't give anyone oral sex till it's been gone for a few days at least. O:>

And you may or may not have antibodies (indicating exposure sometime in your life); the only way to tell is to get a blood test (which will NOT be part of the standard STD tests; you have to ask special for HSV tests). And a blood test can't tell you where you're infected, and it can't tell you if your immune system has the virus beaten back so thoroughly that you may never have an outbreak (or have an outbreak that you recognize; this is particularly common for guys with genital herpes, that they don't realize what it is or they have outbreaks only in the urethra).

My outbreaks went dormant for... six years or so? Longer? Then I woke 'em up with the UV from laser hair removal on my face and they've been cropping up a fair amount now, so I got a prescription from the doctor for an antiviral to NUKE THEM AH-HAHAHAHAHA. Ahem.

Anyway, I'm not saying "Oh! It must be herpes!" But itchybumps on the penis are very much worth checking for herpes, if only to rule it out.
