I have heard that some people use urine to rinse off their cups when they don't have anything else.
Do you? Why or why not?

If you have amalgam( siliver/mercury) fillings, you might be peeing away the mercury that you swallow. I guess you would also be peeing away some of the mercury in the foods you eat. So it just doesn't seem safe to me to use urine.

Any thoughts?

Well, I'm not aware that mercury comes out in your urine - mercury tends to bioaccumulate, because it is lipophilic, so it would be more likely to be stored in your fats. It might be present to some degree in your urine, but it wouldn't be concentrated there, as far as I know. And honestly, if its safe enough to have those fillings or put those foods in your MOUTH, I think its safe enough to get some pee in your vag. I mean...your urine touches your vulva area sometimes anyway, so I don't see a difference.

Its widely said to be safe to drink urine - I'm not sure why it would be any less safe to get it in your vagina.

I tend to just wipe off my cup if I have nothing else, but I don't really see any issues with using urine. I don't think that mercury or other contaminants are a real concern here.

Yea, if the mercury is already in your body the small amount that could be in your urine isn't going to make or break you.
