Hello all! I had my pap back at the end of December, and while she was down there the doctor commented on my discharge and said it could be an indication of bacterial vaginosis; I always seem to have a LOT of discharge (confuses guys; they just think I'm really wet for them) and it's usually yellowish (occasionally faintly greenish) with a faintly vinegar smell. Not fishy, rather more sour? I was, quite frankly, relieved that she mentioned it and offered to test without me having to ask.

Anyways, I didn't hear anything back from them so I made an appointment and went in today; the doctor went over the results; absolutely everything was negative; no BV, no STIs. This is great news but it leaves me wondering, is my discharge normal? It seems like an awful lot for no good reason, forcing me to wear panyliners every day, and I remember when I was a teen it was more clearish white than it is now.

I do not douche, and the only prescription I take is oral HBC.

I don't have an answer to your question because I have experienced the exact same thing and would also like to see comments to this. I also seem to get a lot of discharge, a VERY bothersome amount, but have been tested and they've never found anything wrong.

So, just wanted to let you know you're not alone and I hope we both get an answer to this! :)

I'm no help either, but am in the exact same situation.

I also have the same issue, except my discharge also causes irritation. I've had complete tests done a few times and they've always come up negative. My gyno feels that my problem is hormone-related (I'm in my late 30's and have been experiencing wacky hormones/periods for a couple of years.) Perhaps the Pill is causing it?

I had the same sort of discharge. My doctor found me positive for BV and gave me oral medication for it. A few days after the pills ran out I was still experiencing the heavy discharge. I'm still not sure if it's really gone away. I think I developed BV because I just started birth control pills a little while ago. Other than that I really have no helpful information. D:

I have this SAME problem! I wish I knew what it was. It's driving me insane. I still think it might be BV related, but unsure.

I have the same problem. I haven't had it tested though, but when i had my pap smear a few weeks ago the DR asked if i was having more discharge than normal. I was like "no" cos i ahven't but i normally do have a lot..
Maybe it's just wierd.

My discharge has always been a little yellow. And lately I've noticed a huge change to that more sour smell- but nothing is wrong (no BV, yeast, etc). So I'd bet it was normal. I'll sometimes have a lot of discharge and it depends on what HBC I'm on.

(I love you icon btw. :) )

Ew yeah. I always feel really gross. I always have a lot, and mine seems to be more white than anything. Not YIs though and my gyno didn't mention anything. I feel so gross about it, seriously.

I think I experience the same situation too! Your description sounds like almost exactly the same thing.

I'm always worried that I have/am developing a yeast infecton or some other common issue. But I've repeatedly brought my concerns to various doctors about this, and only once did one ever notice anything wrong with me (which was yeast, nothing major). So I assume probably it's normal, but I feel extremely awkward about it anyway.
