It seems like my bladder has gotten a lot smaller. Weird as this sounds, but I find myself having to go to the bathroom all the time. Nothing hurts, except sometimes I do feel ovary/bladder pain after I go to the bathroom, because I "held it in 2 long". I've noticed that it's either discharge, or pee because my bladder can't hold it in. Or both combined? I do take in a lot of fluid, but I noticed that I have to go to the bathroom ALL the time.(No possibility of being pregnant)I just wanted to see if I could get any input..Thank You

Do you think it could be possible that you have a touch of a bladder infection? Any time I get the slightest inflammation or infection in that area I have to pee constantly. Usually there's not much pain or irritation until it gets worse, in my case. It's worth getting checked out if it hasn't always been that way.

You didn't carry to full term meaning what? Just wondering because when I had my son at 36 weeks (vaginal birth), I couldn't hold urine for awhile. I would wake up having to pee and when I moved, it gushed and I couldn't hold it back. It didn't matter if it was a little or a lot. It was really embarrassing. I had to wear pads constantly when in public because it would seep out like discharge.

The doctor said it sometimes happens the first time you give birth when the muscles get stretched and your bladder gets strained. He almost described it like a pulled muscle. It didn't happen with my second child though.

Nothing really does hurt in the beginning stages of a UTI or bladder infection. The pain starts when the problem gets worse. The last UTI I had went on for a few months before I realized that's what it was. By that point, there was blood in my urine and it burned like fire when I peed.

Oh I'm sorry, I thought you meant you had an early delivery. I didn't mean to upset you or anything so sorry if I did.

According to this site (http://www.afterabortion.com/physical.html) I'm looking at, it can take 6-24 months before your body and hormonal system goes back to normal after an interrupted pregnancy. Meaning you can still suffer from some of the effects of pregnancy, such as frequent urination.

I'm not exactly sure what the problem is, but I know how you feel! When I was pregnant I had to pee all the time, and then after the abortion, it didn't get any better. So maybe its normal? Or maybe there is something wrong with both of us. I'm not sure.

It could be a urinary tract infection. Those are usually accompanied by some pain or discomfort, but if you drink a lot, it could be keeping it low-grade enough that you don't have pain, just frequency. You might want to consider going to the doctor and getting checked for that.

Alternatively, if the number of times you pee in a day hasn't actually gone up, but you're just *noticing* that you go a lot, it could be nothing but good hydration. If you think you're going more than usual, though, I'd say see a doctor to rule out UTI or any other problems.

Sometimes I've had them test my urine for that, but usually I think they just do the pap smear and check up and only do other tests if you ask for them. In your position, I think I'd give my doctor a call just to be sure, and maybe they have suggestions for you if it turns out *not* to be a UTI, too.

it sounds like it could be a uti. i never got any burning but i got some abdominal pain. i'd go get tested for one just to check things out.

if you don't have some of the obvious symptoms (or common) it's definitely possible to have them for a long time and then they can turn into bladder or kidney infections.

any doctor should be able to run labs on it

i'm not too sure because women usually get yeast infections from antibiotics not utis but if the uti was an underlying problems and the antibiotics were treating something else you might just need a stronger one to treat the uti.

Yes, doxycycline can be used to treat UTI, but IIRC doxycycline's effect on E. coli (the bacteria that cause most UTIs) isn't always reliable. So I wouldn't assume that having done a course of antibiotics would definitely have cleared it up.

Any doc you can get to should be able to help with this (even walk-in clinics do UTIs), it would be a good idea for you to see one.

This post is really old but I found it in the archives and I wanted to know if you ever solved your problem. I have a similar one and it would be nice to know what the result was for you.
