green menstrual pads

I'd like to find an alternative to my pads, something I can reuse and won't feel guilty about using. I know about the menstrual cups but I'm not sure I'm comfortable with something I'd have to insert (I don't like tampons), though I might end up trying it anyway.

What methods do you know about? What's worked for you?

Wow, you sound like you're looking for the cloth_pads community (http://community.livejournal.com/cloth_pads/)! I've been using cloth pads for almost a year and I think they're fantastic; I would never switch back to disposables, though I am considering getting a cup for swimming, etc. For a really comprehensive website with info. on alternative menstrual products, check out www.ecomenses.com.
