I think I have an ongoing yeast infection that will NEVER die...

There's no itching/burning/excessive discharge... but I would feel weird having sex with someone ... and even worse having someone go down on me. There's the ... occasional little white glob & just a nasty acidic ~flavor.~

anyway..

Last April, I went to health services on campus. The lady was like, "yuuup there's yeast up there." She gave me an insert thing that should've killed "anything/everything growing in there."

Apparently it didn't work? ..

Should I just go buy some Monistat? :(

I don't know if I would say anything is 100% for getting rid of a YI. what may work 100% for you may not work at all for someone else. I have been doing the acidophilus thing for months and my YI is not gone. I have also tried the garlic method (eating and inserting) every time I've ever had an infection, and it seemed to help for a day or two, and then get even worse.

and I've got to agree with atalanta0jess, maybe the way you worded the HIV/AIDS and diabetes test suggestion was a little much. maybe "need to be tested" could have been replaced with "should be tested." I have recurrent yeast and just went to the doctor for it, and I have neither HIV/AIDS nor diabetes.

(I just typed and deleted for 20 minutes, trying to figure out how to best put that, without sounding offensive or rude. please don't take it that way :))
