Hmm, cranberry juice is pretty infamous for helping to prevent UTIs, actually... Of course, it obviously won't prevent Every Single UTI, but it's good to have in a prevention regimen =)
dear gods I AM tired. I mean it won't help prevent a YI. It will help prevent or keep of a UTI pretty well, but once one is in full swing ya better get your butt to a doc.
some antibiotics can contribute to the development of a yeast infection, generally more broad spectrum ones. There are others doctors prescribe which target specific types of bacteria and don't affect vaginal bacteria.
The explanation: there is a natural balance of bacteria and yeast in the vagina and these keep each other in check but certain antibiotics will kill the good bacteria of the vagina, meaning that the yeast can get out of control.
