I'm on Cerazette, and I was happy..until now. I've bled for 11 days straight!! I started taking them in august, and had my period in september, and then it stopped! I was happy, thinking that it was the best birth control I had ever been on! Well, anyone else experiencing the same? Having my period for two week kinda kills the sex life..

I'm on that too. It's weird. I never know when I'm going to get my period, and when I first went on it I bled for 16 days or something ridiculous. I've been on it for about six months now, and my period is just beginning to arrive every 4 weeks or so, it then lasts for around 6 days, but I don't have any cramps at all - I used to have cramps of death.

I'd stick with it a few more months, but if it's still weird you'd probably be best switching to something else.

That's a common problem with Cerazette, and the main reason why people stop it. It's usually advised to give it three months and see how your bleeding patterns settle down, but you're past that. I'm not sure what to advise, your medical provider may be able to talk over the pros and cons with you helpfully though. Generally, progestogen-only methods are most likely to reduce or eliminate menstrual bleeding. However, a minority of women get constant spotting or bleeding on these methods. Since you've had several months with no bleeding at all, I wouldn't worry about constant bleeding just yet. Give it a while longer and see what happens.
