skin tags

i've had this flap of skin type bump on my inner thigh/super close to my labia groin area. it's been there for about a year--before i became sexually active.
i researched this online and found out about "skin tags"
i looked at pictures and they all closely resemble what i have. i was wondering if anyone has any experience with getting skin tags in their groin area and what they did to treat them?

I have one on my outer labia (labium?). The groin is a common place to get them.

Um....why do you have to "treat" it? Does it cause you pain or anything? I just leave mine alone...I don't really see any reason to remove it since it's not hurting any body. :)

it's right where my underwear tends to rub and i feel as though it resembles genital warts, i don't know, i don't want anybody i may be sexually involved with to get freaked out, yanno?
