Thanks to everyone who replied to my previous post about ovulation. :)

But now, this morning I woke up queasy, ate something hoping it would resolve. Didn't work. Nausea went away on its own after awhile. Then came back hours later. Blegh!

(Recap: Condom broke on the 5th of this month, my last period was on the 17th/18th of Sept and my cycle is about 30 days.)

Is it too soon for me to start feeling morning sickness? Or what? I know I didn't eat anything foul and I'm def not sick. I'm not stressing about possibly being pregnant, if I am, then I am. I'm just very curious.

Thanks!

There's not even a viable pregnancy 5 days past a pregnancy risk.. I think you might just have a bug.

Generally, you'll test positive before you'll show any pregnancy symptoms. The hormones that cause the symptoms can only rise once HcG kicks in. :)

This give a basic rundown.. basically, anything past 2 weeks of conception is the amount of time it would take for a test to be accurate, anyway. :)

The pregnancy has not even implanted and signaled itself to the body 5 days past fertilization. Morning sickness is not possible due pregnancy when the body does not know it's pregnant yet.

And it's also worthy of note some paranoid people/people on the watch will "read into" normal happenings as "signs" of pregnancy when it might not be so at all.

I don't know for sure, my early pregnancy was definitely not normal, but from the 5 to today is 6 days, at the most you would have ovulated 8-9 days ago... Its quite possible you could be. I had period like symptoms for two weeks with no period, thats the only reason I tested.

But again, my baby didn't progress past week three (the week of insemination) until late in week 5. It progressed two weeks in just a few days. However, as soon as it started progressing I got very sick, had it done it when it was supposed to, I would have gotten sick at week three (the week you are in now).

You wouldn't be far enough along to have morning sickness yet. It could be a bug and it could also be wishful thinking. I've hoped I was pregnant to the point of having mock symptoms before, and I wasn't stressed about it at all.

Personally, you could be... if you think you are, I would get a few dollar tree tests (yes they work very well) and test within the next few days, and if its negative test if your period is even a day late, test again.

Some women can get a positive as early as 3 weeks, again, where you are if you are pregnant. If you were late from your period you are already in week 4.

Well, assuming you have a standard 28 day cycle.
Day 1 is the 17th.
Average ovulation is day 14, which would be October 1st. Since ovum only live 12 hours post ovulation, and the condom broke on the 5th, you're out of that window.
I would say you're stressing and/or getting the flu bug that's started going around. *hug*

Ok, then assume the average 14 day luteal cycle. While this varies within the population, the luteal phase tends to remain constant with the individual. In other words, if you have a 14 day luteal phase, you'll all but always have a 14 day luteal phase, same if you're 10, 17, etc, etc. Do you have any symptoms that you notice when you ovulate? Pain in your side, lots of clear, thick mucous? That would help you pin-point if you're in the clear.
So assuming 30 days, you're due for your next period on the 17th of October. With a assumed 14 day luteal phase, you would have ovulated on the 3rd of October.
Condom broke on 5th.
Should be good. :-)
Also, even if you did get fertilized, it's too early for a test to show, as the egg probably hasn't been implanted long enough to release any hormones. Wait until your period is expected, and then test if it doesn't feel like it's coming.
*hugs*

Oh, do you chart your temperature? That would be an awesome indicator of ovulation if you do.
I would still test come the time your period is due, if I were you. Since I don't know *exactly* when you ovulate, I had to go with statistical averages, which as we all know seem to apply to everyone but ourselves. >_

I know this is an opinion that seems to be unsupported by science, but I have personally felt something was "different" three of the five times I've been pregnant, from days after the conception occurred, not weeks. Just my experience, FWIW. I hope it turns out however you want it to. :)

If you would even consider keeping the potential baby, it can't hurt to take a multi vitamin every day from now until you can test :D

Presumably you aren't on the pill, since you're concerned about ovulation. I suffer from an undiagnosed case of PMDD, and in short I get your standard pregnancy symptoms every single month. I'm currently 6 days past ovulation, and I'm really nauseous, my boobs are 2 inches larger, and they hurt. This is normal for me (fun isn't it?). So, it could just be an annoying hormonal hting for you.
