So.. I'm considering buying a divacup. I'm drawn to it for the following reasons:

environmentally friendly
no TSS risk
healthier for vagina (chemical-soaked cotton wha what?!)
ability to travel in backcountry without need for tampon supply

However, I am wondering one thing. If you remove it to have sex then is it a giant mess? If any of you could share your experiences with having intercourse while using a cup I'd be very grateful.

Update: I slept on it (literally, I suppose) and tried again the next day. It was difficult, but I did manage to remove the cup. Huzzah! I think I just need more practice.. or I need to stop doing kegals, because I can barely fit two fingers inside if I try. Thank you so much for all your suggestions! They made me giggle and calm down.

Hey there...

I just purchased a "B" Keeper Cup today. I inserted it without much hassle, but now, trying to remove it...I can't. I just spent the last fifteen minutes digging around up there so long, my vagina is very irritated and in pain now. I'm getting a bit freaked out that I can't remove this thing no matter how hard I try.

It hasn't been in too long (only about an hour or so--I was practicing using it), so it's not exactly imperative it comes off now... but I'm actually a little teary now because it's scaring me. When I try to grab the stem, my fingers just slip off, and when I try to grip the base of the cup, same thing. It's.. suck. I can't relieve the suction pressure at all.

Help, please, has anyone had this problem before?? I don't want to go to the hospital over something t stupid...

a tad bit graphic )

and because i'm in a new relationship where the threat of pregnancy is real (my previous partner was vasectomized) ... could i have been pregnant and this is the results of a miscarrage? is this something i should take to my doctor and have checked out? or just chalk it up as a rare strange, yet normal, period?

Okay girls I’m sure this is one of those annoying questions that too many people ask about, but I’ve been searching around in the memories and i haven't found anything really useful. But if i missed a good entry about this, please point my in the right direction.

I've recently decided that I’d like to try a menstrual cup like the diva cup, moon cup, or the keeper, but I'm not really sure which one to try. I'm not very vagina friendly, so I want something that won't be *too* hard to put in all the time. I know it'll take a little practice to get it right, but I thought I’d ask for some advice anyway. Is there one that is smaller? One that is more flexible? Easier to insert?

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks :)
