The lady used a candela gentlelase and took off more than i wanted. It's been 12 weeks and only a few hairs have come back (dark hair/white skin). Am I stuck with this tiny triangle? Or is there hope yet for my bush?

Hey ladies, I've got a bit of a problem and the first place I thought of to ask for help was here. I'm a little worried about whether or not it's appropriate (since the hair removal tag for this journal is technically for removing PUBIC hair, I know) but if it's not supposed to be here, I apologize and I'll understand if it's removed.

Anyway, I do have a hair removal problem, but it's my legs. My hair is very coarse and my skin is very sensitive. Shaving does work if I have a good hour or two to spend in the shower and don't mind the backaches I end up with afterwards (from all the odd positions I have to stand in in order to reach my legs), because the hair is so coarse that even a brand new razor gives out after one leg.

Electric razors also work, but they also leave behind strays and stubble. Not to mention they make a horrible mess on my floor (would have been forgivable IF the electric razor worked well).

I've tried waxing (ouch!) and I'm just not willing to go through that amount of pain just so I can slip into a dress or a pair of shorts every now and then. Following that line of thought, epis don't seem like such a good idea to me, either.

I've tried several hair removal creams (ooouch!) and my skin just won't put up with it. Sure, it removes the hair, but then I have a lovely sunburn looking rash with accompanying bumps on my skin.

So I've just...stopped. Not only do I not have the time (or the limber body I used to have) for shaving, but every other option has failed me as well. So I beseech you, my fellow females, as I sit here with itchy, hairy legs; what am I to do? Are there any alternatives I've missed? Something that will tame my iron-like hair and yet not make me wonder if I should go to the ER afterwards?

I'm probably reaching for the impossible, I know...but a girl can dream.

Yes. I tried the tags, but apparently Hair Removal - General is broken. At least, it didn't let me through, and I'm not looking for it to VANISH entirely.

Anyway.

I'm 19. About six months ago I got out of a largely abusive and really unhealthy relationship. Much fun was had, but I was pretty freaked out by guys for a while. Recently, I met this total sweetheart gentle giant type- or at least to me, since my ex was short- and I guess we're giving it a go.

The point is, the ex didn't give a crap about pubic hair, and I didn't really pay much attention to it, so I don't care what it's doing. Do we all see where this is going?

Yep. Gentle suggestion to get some grooming done. I don't particularly want to kill it dead, but I can't seem to find any info tips on what should be going on, just... How to get it done. Technical terms. Not so much little diagrams with, "DON'T CHOP THIS OFF". I'm an audiovisual learner, so the step-by-step... Not helping so much. Especially the very schoolhouse sites I've found.

Anyone here have any tips and tricks for getting the job done? I know I'm going to get plenty of, "Do what YOU want!" but... I'm terribly afraid of giving myself a bad haircut. I'm awkward enough as is.

So, the help, let it come to me.

EDIT: Since I'm lazy and don't like writing the same reply over and over again, thanks for the help and suggestions =) Since I just got paid I went out of my way (or rather, my father's way) to get myself a trimmer- which sounds like a lawnmower, but alas, what can I do?- and am now uncomfortably itching up a storm.

But hey, a new plus side is that I'm shedding even less. Woo.

=D Thanks bunches!
