Dark brown blood

So i am sorta trying to get pregnant. We stopped using protection a few months ago, my period has been normal, i missed last month so i took a test it was negative. Last saterday i a few drops of blood came and went and today i had thick dark red brown blood. What could be going on? Thanks

I'm not by any means familiar with this kind of thing, but from what I've heard it might possibly be implantation bleeding. DO NOT take my word for it at all, I'm just throwing it out there as a possibility :P Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than I will jump in to confirm/deny. Good luck!

When my spouse and I stopped using condoms, my periods went all wonky. Some were normal, for me. Others were light and spotty. I also had decidual bleeding, which entirely mimicked the light, spotty bleeding I'd had when I wasn't pregnant, so it fooled me. (Didn't fool the pregnancy test, mind.)

So you could have implantation spotting, decidual bleeding, or just a wonky period. Keep an eye on it, I'd suggest, and take an occasional pregnancy test.

I used to get that when I worked out really hard. For me it was old blood just passing through. Do you go to the gym? Or have you done any strenuous work lately?
