Ok so I have heard a million times, after sex, its better to take a shower than a bath! Why is that? ? Anyone know anything on this?

some people are more prone to getting UTIs from baths because of water and/or bubble bath getting into your vagina. That's just my guess though.

Probably because with shower everything washes away in seconds, whereas with bathe you are stewing in a warm pool of the germs XD

Baths--especially bubble baths--make it much easier to get an infection, as others have noted.

When we take baths, we're effectively soaking our vulvas in water that may have soap or dirt in it that we don't want in our urethras/vaginas, which is why showers are a safer bet. (If you do take a bath, it's recommended to rinse off the vulva with a quick shower afterwards.)

It is also recommended to avoid bubble baths, bath salts or scented oils, as they can often cause infections.

Hmm, that actually sounds like it makes sense. My mother always makes me take a bath after my period because she said it cleanses the inside, and I am completely against douches f**cking up my PH level, so I suppose Ill just let my vagina clean itself out the old fashioned way from now on, ive never had an infection before in my life and i dont plan on that anytime in my future :-/

Personally, I'd just feel icky: jizz drippy dripping out of me and then sitting to stew in it. Eurgh. Though supposedly it's a good skin-softener. :P

It used to work for me anyways. I stopped after my boyfriend kept licking my face and saying "mmmm, you taste good everywhere". That wasn't so effective for the acne. *laugh*

I heard once that if you dabbed a little bit of your vaginal secretions behind your ears before you went on a date that it would turn guys on. I tried it and it seemed to work . . . but my husband is always turned on, so it wasn't really scientific.
