Yesterday was my very first time at the gyno. I have to say the moment I walked in and was greeted by the very nice and friendly staff really made me feel less nervous and more comfortable. The office was huge with comfortable chairs and couches. I noticed so many phone calls were being made and one of the girls was mentioning how my gyno was booked till November for annuals, that made me think that hey she must be real good.
I finally went in made a urine sample, checked my weight, blood pressure. Then I had to go in the room undress and sit there for about 15 minutes axinously waiting for her to come in. She comes in and she is seriously the nicest, most compassionate doctor I've ever met! She knew it was my first time and explained everything to me. I mentioned how I had blood work done 4 years ago claiming I had PCOS and showed her the papers and to my much relief she said the results didn't state I had PCOS, but I do have a high level of testosterone which could either be from my ovary or Adreliane Glands. So I was put on the pill for that for also pregnancy protection.
The exam itself was quick and easy. The metal thing she puts in you to spread you open hurt for a few seconds and I actually jumped! The pap smear took a few seconds and then she did the physical. In all it took about 5 minutes. She then talked to me some more and that was it.
I was like, "Geez I got worked up for something so simple and easy!"
