Patch

I keep forgetting about this because I keep hiding it with my patch but now I remember!

Okay so I'm not that big of a girl and I never had stretch marks before. However, once I started using the patch I got this pink/purple/reddish lines on my butt.
I don't know if it's because I'm gaining weight in my bootay, normal body changes or if the patch is changing it for me? (so I guess that's my first question)
I don't even know if they are stretch marks, it looks like them though.

But yeah on one side they're clumped together where I've placed my patch before (I switch sides) and on the other sides there's a couple lines further away, more on my thigh.
And my other question is, how can I get rid of them or make them stop!? Arg!

How old are you? Because almost all women tend to get stretch marks in the late teens/early twenties years, so it may just be an age thing, not having to do with your patch.

Yeah seconding Jasmine's comment. It's very VERY common for a lot of people (men and women!) to get stretch marks in their early 20's, because they're still growing. Most people forget that the human body continues to grow until about your early 20's, so they get weirded out by body changes like that.

If they are stretch marks, I've heard cocoa butter is good for them.

I second the cocoa butter. I've got some stretch marks on my outer thigh/hip area, and it helps reduce the visibility =]

It doesn't really help.

Nothing really reduces stretch marks-if they fade, it's because your genetics make them fade, not because of anything you really rub on them. I know, I slathered cocoa butter on for almost a year with no results, so eventually I gave up...and another year or so later, they finally faded on their own.

They go silvery-white with time. I weigh about 50kg (Around 110lb for those in the US), and have a lovely network of those suckers on my hips from puberty.

You can't really stop them, but I don't notice them at all these days.

Oh and when I say "from puberty", I mean in the later part after all the big events occurred.

I gained some weight when I started on birth control. I got stretch marks on my outer thighs and a tiny bit on my butt because of it.

I found that keeping my skin hydrated (IE by drinking a lot of water) helped. I also used cocoa butter regularly, every night before I went to bed. It took a little while but they've now faded.

I was extremely self concious about them, but understand it's a normal thing and nothing to worry about :)
