I scoured the vulvapedia yeast infection entry, and I saw that tea tree oil and otc treatments are all good for treating itch, but i was wondering if anyone had any quick, simple treatments that wouldn't really interfere with sex.

I'm just coming off my period and my vulva is up in arms at me. I think I left my diva cup in for too long or something, but it's just really itchy. I don't think it's a YI, because I've had those before, just some icky old irritation.

I've been using otc creams, and they work, but tomorrow is one of the rare times I get to see my LDR boyfriend, so I'd like to not taste like monistat anti-itch cream if at all possible.

Any ideas?

I put a drop or two of tea tree oil in a cup of water and just dab myself with it. It's not concentrated enough to taste anything, I don't think, and it doesn't show at all, I mean, it's not like a sticky cream that is hanging around in your underwear or anything.

You can also take two cups of apple vinegar or white vinegar, dilute it in a bath of warm water, and soak for an hour or so (if you have the time). It should take away the itch not only while you're soaking, but for a good while afterwards.
