For the last few weeks Ive noticed a zit looking thing right at the top of my thigh, where it meets the labia. Its literally right where my underwear line is. Should I be worried? It doesnt look like a wart (and its sore, not itchy) and its not a herpes sore, it looks exactly like a zit, small and pink with a white head. Could it just be irritation from my underwear perhaps? Im just a bit concerned because its been there a while. If it matters, Ive been sleeping with only my bf since we started dating 9 months ago, he has no symptoms like this and has been with one other girl, a virgin.

It's probably an ingrown hair, I get them a lot where my underwear rubs. Don't worry, it will 'pop' itself like a zit.

I find that they're more likely to appear when I've been shaving regularly, but I get them sometimes even when I haven't shaved in a while. :)

They're usually caused by shaving, but you can get them anyway. Your hairs will still fall out eventually, even if you don't shave, but as they try to grow back the underwear could be rubbing the wrong way.

That sounds like a pimple, or maybe an ingrown hair (http://www.vaginapagina.com/index.php?title=Vulvar_Bumps/Cysts#Ingrown_Hairs.2FFolliculitis) -- I sometimes get those in areas where my clothing rubs against the skin, particularly in the area you describe. If you can get a good look at it, check for a dark spot in the center (kind of like this (http://www.wikihow.com/images/5/54/Ingrown1.JPG)) -- that may indicate that it's an ingrown hair.

Either way, a warm compress may help with the soreness. If you can, it may also help to sleep sans underwear, to give the area some air and prevent any further chafing/irritation at night. This Vulvapedia article (http://www.vaginapagina.com/index.php?title=Pubic_Hair_Care/Removal#Shaving) also has some good tips on how to treat and prevent ingrowns. :)

If it has a white head, it's a zit. anywhere that has pores (ie, your whole body!) can get pimples.

It's almost certainly a boil. Boils can happen when your immune system is lower, and they usually pop up right on your underwear line. It's because the staph virus can get pushed into your skin and create a nice little infection in there. Normally your body can fight it off, and sometimes it just can't. I've been getting them since I was a teenager (I'm 22 now). You can let it go on it's own, and eventually it will probably burst and drain, you CAN pop it, and I do sometimes, but be prepared to wear a bandaid on it because the clothing rubbing there will irritate it more. You can also get some tea tree oil from some kind of health store nearby (trader joe's has it, super supplements, etc..) and just put a little on your finger, and rub it straight onto the boil. I would also wear a bandaid over it even if you don't pop it, because it'll be more comfortable for you, and your clothing won't irritate it further.
Good luck!

You're welcome! I hope it helps. Also, try to get the tea tree oil that it in a colored bottle. Light can make tea tree oil not work anymore, or something like that. So it's best if you can find it in a bottle that's brown at least. I bought mine at Trader Joe's in a clear bottle, and it worked at first, but then after a while the effectiveness was not as great. I think that's why.

soak in a nice hot bath and don't poke at it, especially not with dirty fingers. wear boy-shorts underwear that don't have a seam at the crease. go underwearless at night and as much as possible.
