I fear I may have made a fairly dumb mistake and need to double check that I didn't seriously mess anything up...
I'm currently on tour across America with my band, we started in New York and we've reached the end of the first half, in Washington state. I had my period when we left and started a new pack on the road. I take my pill at 10 PM in New York.
I was a moron and calculated it backwards, and took the first pill of my new pack at 11 pm in Minneapolis, aka MIDNIGHT in New York. I haven't missed a pill or even been late, but I did start my new pack 2 hours later than I would have had I known.
My SO and I use the pill as our only form of contraception and we had sex the next morning. That night I found out about my mistake and immediately recalculated the schedule so I could keep it at 12 AM EST. (AKA, I'm going to take my pill in 5 minutes because I'm in Washington state. 9 pm here = 12 AM in NY)
Now, I got this bit of information from the VP FAQ:
For those taking combined oral contraceptives, perhaps the best method to change pill time is to wait until after the placebo week and the beginning of a new pack. If you plan to take your pill earlier, you can still do this on your normal day; however, if you plan to take your pill at a later time, we recommend doing so one day earlier so that you don't extend your hormone-free week beyond 7 days.
Now-- my question is, did 2 hours mess anything up beyond recognition? I still had my period when I had sex, and my pills have all been perfectly on time- just a different time.

(I just moved for the summer from NY to the west coast and have been having similar issues so I feel your pain:))
