fellatio and a sore throat?

I know there can be some connection with fellatio (sans condom), sore throats, and STIs. but all the information i've read indicates that the sore throat doesn't show up until a week after infection.

saturday morning, after a late night of lots of drinking and happy screaming and debauchery, i gave a blow job to a boy. two hours later, as i was on my way home, my throat started to hurt and my voice became a little hoarse. two more nights of similar behavior (no more sex, though) and my sore throat didn't go away. it's wednesday and it's still vaguely sore, but not as much as before.
i've had similar experiences where i've had crazy weekends and didnt treat my body that well and so my throat gets sore, but this weekend had the added benefit of unprotected oral sex. how likely is it that sti symptoms would show up so early, and what sti is it most likely to be?
the last time i was with this particular boy, we'd both gotten sti tests and did not possess any, but that was a few months ago--i know i should have used a condom, but i won't be with this guy again nor anyone else until i'm in a relationship...

I mean, you mentioned happy screaming, so the sore throat could very well be from any screaming or yelling you did that night. Typically I don't think the symptoms of an STI would show up quite so early as the same night. Especially if you followed with two more nights of the happy screaming and such, I wouldn't be surprised if you had a sore throat for a bit longer.

You should still get tested for STIs, however, because it was unprotected oral sex.

Thank you for your response! I should wait a couple weeks to get tested, right, to make sure it'll show up, or should I get tested ASAP so I can start getting treated if I need to be?

I'd go for ASAP, because early treatment is crucial with certain STDs in order to avoid long-lasting effects.

Swallowing semen has given me a scratchy/irritated/sore throat before. I figured perhaps it was the acidity or something. But like an above poster said, you should probably get tested just in case.

My guess is that it's the screaming and you didn't notice for a couple of hours because you were too busy having a good time and on an adrenalin high (or whatever; having never been drunk, I'm guessing a bit here). It's common for people to injure themselves when busy doing something important (or when drunk) and not notice until things have simmered down, for instance. Whenever my boyfriend has a sore back or dodgy stomach and we have sex, he always forgets about the bit that's hurting during the sex and notices it again afterwards. Go and find something soothing for your throat and don't worry.
