Switching to Nuva Ring!

I'm thinking of switching from ortho tri cyclen to the Nuva Ring. And this question is for nuva ring users. 

I was wondering if during sex, does your partner feel the ring at all? I would think that during fingering, he/she would, but does it bother them?  I really don't want it to get in the way of sex hehe. 
Also, I want to skip my period while on the ring, have any of you done this succesfully? without spotting....

EDIT: Thank you all for the responses!! I'm hesitating now because I plan to have a lot of sex this summer with my partner. And it looks like for the majority of you, your partner does feel the ring at some point. But I might give it a try!
