Itching after stimulation

I often itch after clitoral stimulation, be it oral sex or toy use. When it's toy use, we use a ton of lube, and when it's oral sex, there seems to be plenty of saliva. The next day, it drives me crazy with the itching. Any way to prevent this?

Do you wash after both things? If not, definitely wash off right after either activity using water or water and a mild soap to get that extra lube/saliva off. My guess would be that residue builds up and causes some irritation/mild bacteria buildup.
If you are washing, then maybe it's an allergy, although it would be strange to be allergic to both the lube AND saliva.
