[identity profile] li-ber-ate.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] vaginapagina

Wow. So last night I went to a party and got ridiculously drunk, and slept with someone. It was my first time, and no, I don't regret it. I don't really look at sex as that big of a deal, but I do have a question about it. The guy was very nice, and I made sure he wore a condom. So we get started, and then I lost track of time, but I check, and the condom is gone. So I tell him, and then he puts another one on. What I'm most worried about is whether or not I'm likely to get pregnant. Neither of us came, perhaps because we were both too drunk, or it just wasn't happening since I was a virgin, so I know there was no actual semen inside of me. I do know that you can still get pregnant from the secretions or whatever and I also am worried that perhaps I was too drunk to notice if he did, in fact, ejaculate.

I just got off period about two days ago and am worried what the likelihood of me getting pregnant is?

sorry for this post being kind of here and there and not well thought out, but I'm still a little wobbly. I just wanted to know about this so I can be sure, or if I should do something.

well.
thank you!

I definitely agree that getting tested for STIs -- at their appropriate time intervals -- is a great idea, but I'm wondering if your wording here could be making the OP feel bad for not knowing this (if indeed she didn't know -- it may simply not have been relevant to her post). Maybe this is just my own interpretation, but when I read "Um, yea?" and the "MAYBE" all in caps, I felt like it was implying that this is something the OP should have already known. This isn't a judgment (only assuming others shared my interpretation, of course) we can or should be making in VP since it can prevent people from feeling comfortable enough to ask exactly these sorts of questions.
