With February quickly approaching, I suggest a trip to the V-Day site! V-Day is an anti-violence program originated by Eve Ensler's book The Vagina Monologues. The book started out as a series of interviews that Eve conducted, to learn what women feel about their vaginas. She interviews young girls and older women, talks about sex and health and trauma. Very insightful read, and it makes me feel more connected and aware of how other women see their bodies.
Anyway, the V-Day site is rad. It includes advice about getting involved in your community, current news about violence against women, as well as light-hearted sections and V-Day merchandise.
I urge you to check it out.
