this article about anaphylactoid reactions associated with menstruation is very interesting. especially this quote: Exacerbations of chronic urticaria and asthma are well described in relation to the menstrual cycle. i wasn't aware of that, although i'm not sure why i'm surprised. does anyone know anything more about this?

Well, I have several anaphylactic allergies. And I'm always worse around my period. I can't remember why, but one of my allergists explained it very well once.

Combined with tonight's events... well, this doesn't bode well for this cycle. (It's not all that pertinent here, so if you're curious, you'll have to visit my journal.)

I hate anaphylaxis.

Now, I should go change out of white flannel boxers before I start bleeding in earnest.
