hemorrhoids

I didn't actually see a hemorrhoid post in the anal-anomalies tag or vulva-pedia, so here's one:

I gave myself a hemorrhoid (which is a really hard word to spell BTW), and it is being a real pain in the ass (ha ha). I have mild IBS which doesn't help, and while I'm doing the things I usually do when my butt is unhappy (lots of water and fibre, cutting out the coffee and sweets) I was wondering what suggestions/experience you folks had for dealing with it.
