I have a question. I am a little over 20 wks pregnant and for the past couple weeks I have been waking up with sharp pains on my right side, just under my ribs. It mostly only happens at night and goes away during the day (although it has happened a couple times during the day). It was hurting last night and I went to go pee and I noticed that my pee was cloudy. I know about round ligament pain but to me it seems like its too high to be that doesnt it? does anyone have any idea what could be causing my side to hurt? do you think its serious enough to call the doctor or should I just wait since I have a doctors appointment next wednesday anyway? any info would be appreciated. thanks.
*edit* I had my gallbladder removed 3 years ago so its not that..

but you are pregnant and you are worried, so maybe you should talk to a doctor even if it is just a phone call (or something like askanurse even). it doesnt sound to me like a serious problem, but I am not a medical professional.

Date: 2006-11-14 06:19 pm (UTC)If it were sharp and consistent enough to cause me real discomfort (longer than a few minutes or didn't go away when I changed position/moved, etc) I'd call someone, doctor/hospital. If anything to see what they might suggest. Maybe it's just organs pushing up and maybe it's something else. But if it were just an occasional thing, that happened momentairly, I might be more likely to hold off until the doctors appointment.
Only you know yourself. If you're concerned, see someone. Nothings silly/pointless anymore.
