I took a quick scan through the memories, and didn't see the exact questions I have.

For some reason my period this month is awful. I've gone through my entire cloth pad stash (12 pads) in 36 hours. I bled right through a [livejournal.com profile] mimis_dreams overnight pad in about 4 hours, and am currently wearing my last pad with a pantyliner snapped over the top. I have no idea why I am bleeding this way, but I am miserable. I'm not on any type of birth control or any other meds that could affect my period, my last period was totally normal. The only thing off is i'm a few days early, I wasn't expecting my period until the 31st-1st and started on the 27th.

Does anyone have any remedies to try that I might not have heard of? Any that have been traditionally recommended that I should avoid? Right now I'm willing to try almost anything...herbal, etc.

Thanks in advance for any answers/suggestions

I don't know if this would help you, since you're allergic to the glue, and it won't help you with your period itself, but I get irritation from the chemicals in disposable pads so I have to use cloth pads, and when my period was too heavy for my pad and I ran out of inserts I stuck a disposable pad to my undies and then put a cloth pad over it, so the disposable one didn't actually touch me at all. The cloth pad soaked up like three times more than it normally would because I didn't have to replace it when the blood got through to the other side, and the disposable soaked up a whole lot too. It was pretty uncomfortable at first but I got used to wearing two pads (lol) and it worked.
