perineum problem

hi! i just joined, and have heard rave reviews from people over at menstrualhut.

My prob is, i just noticed that i have tiny little fissures in my peri area, and i know it's from that fast(and sorta rough) quickie the hubby and i had a few days ago. any remedies to ease the pain and make them disappear? my b-day's on Wed, and i want to be able to have enjoyable sex with the hubby.

i'm not sure this will make them go away that quickly, but a little antibiotic ointment would probably soothe some of the pain.

could that possibly cause/contribute to a YI? I was wondering about that, because I've had a cut or two down there, and I am always afraid to use neosporin.

if it's external, it should be okay. i wouldn't put neosporin inside, but a little on the perienum (i just know i spelled that wrong) shouldn't affect your yeast balance much if at all.

I have used neosporin + pain relief on that area. Little higher.

Just keep it far far away from the actual vulva.

Taking Vitamin E can help your skin heal faster, you could also even put vitamin E oil on the little fissures to help them heal faster too. Happy early birthday. =)

I second the Vit E oil on the sore bits suggestion. It's a lifesaver for me.

You can use a topical steroid ointment on fissures. Like Clobetasol.
But don't use it for too long. Usually about 2 weeks max, unless doctors orders say otherwise. Be careful, it can thin tissues out if you use it too long.
