This might be a longshot, but here goes:

I started my period (was not on birth control before for several months) on September 16, and started taking Seasonale. My period ended on the 20th, and I stopped taking the pill on the 26th. I then started bleeding again from the 28th to the 1st. My question is, when should I expect to be ovulating? Would I just calculate it from my actual period, or would it "reset" according to the post-birth control bleeding? My cycle is 28 days normally, and rarely deviates, in case that's relevant.

if you are on HBC you do not ovulate :-)

If you were on it from the 16th to the 26th, you were on it for more than 6 days so while you were taking it you were protected, but once you stop, it will no longer prevent ovulation. Actually figuring out when you are ovulating right now will be difficult by using a calendar because having been on the pill for a few days will mess with your cycle. You won't be able to really tell for a few cycles what your regular cycle will be now. The only thing I can think of that may help you figure out when you are ovulating now would be to do basal body temperatures and monitor cervical mucus and figure it out that way. That should be accurate.

There's no real way to predict when you'll ovulate. Taking HBC for a few days could have (and likely did) disrupt your normal schedule. However, we can't know how. We also can't predict when you'd ovulate normally: you may have a 28-day cycle, but you may ovulate on day 12, 14, or 16 (or another day).
