For the last couple of months or so, when I lie in certain positions (missionary, for example) during sex, it hurts a lot. But if I lie on my stomach, it doesn't hurt so much. I talked to a nurse (can't see the gyno until the 19th), and she said I may not be getting aroused enough and to start having more foreplay and breaking out the K-Y. I did and it's helped somewhat, but not entirely. I have no idea what it could be. Any thoughts?
description of the pain: My vaginal walls and the back of my vagina hurt with penetration in some positions, even when I'm lubricated.

Date: 2006-09-11 09:58 pm (UTC)You might have a tilted cervix. It doesn't mean anything is wrong with you, it just means that some positions will provide a little discomfort and pain... so try your best to work around it if possible. If there is anything else, like blood or discharge... see your gyno... could be an STI... or a UTI...
Good Luck!

Date: 2006-09-12 04:23 am (UTC)In some positions, penetration goes deeper and bumps the cervix. Many, if not most, women find this uncomfortable or even painful. This can change since your cervix changes positions during your cycle (sometimes it's lower, sometimes higher).
