Caramel Scent?!?

Occasionally my discharge has a caramel scent to it. It's sometimes very strong other times barely noticeable but it smells exactly like caramel! Is this indicative of anything or just a bizarre coincidence?

I smell sweet some times too, also pretty strong some times, like some one sitting next to me on the buss could smell it strong. I've never really compared it to any thing... next time I get the smell (it comes before and durring my period) I'll have to decide what it smells like :)

I think it's normal to smell different at different times and I've noticed other girls with a strong sweet smell before, so I wouldn't worry unless you're getting itcy or some thing. that's just my thoughts though, I'm not medically educated.

I *belieive* discharge tends to smell sweeter when you ovulate. If I'm wrong, someone kick me. :) I wish mine smelled like caramel! Lucky girl.

This was always true for me in the 3+ years I practiced FAM (plus the 8 months I had a non-hormonal IUD).

Have you noticed your breath smelling sweet as well? If so, not to alarm you, it could be related to diabetes. You might want to read up on it.

I'm going to get tested for diabetes next week. I don't have the super thirsty symptom but I am insanely hungry all the time. I was tested late last year and it was negative.
